I didn't think Morgan was ready to destroy his reputation with the fans and club to get his move. Having been on the other side of this ordeal I know how--oh fuck it, WHOOOOOOO! GO ON STRIKE MOTHERFUCKER! GET THAT MOVE! LEVY START TAPPING HIS ASS UP!

I don't think we will get him now, I just see the interview with koeman

Koeman said: "The situation is difficult, the player makes it difficult.''

"I spoke to him with our chairman and the situation has not changed - we don't sell Schneiderlin and he has to accept that.''

He probably feels like when you queue up for a ride at chessington with your mates thinking you will all be getting on then
a big arm comes down in front of you and the man says "That's all sunshine"

I would assume though that as they are actively trying to find moves for a number of players and Vlad is te only one they can move on then they will have to just get in with it. If they need space they need space

Not to detriment of squad though surely. Unless Kaboul they know is absolutely definitely gonna be available most of season or Dier is definitely seen as being capable to play 30odd games I'd feel uncomfortable at thought of this 4 CBs.

As a club Saints have created this whole ridiculous situation.

At least when we were losing Berba, Modric, Bale etc we hadn't sold all the other top players at our club beforehand and then tried to stop them going. All we did was force the best possible price for each of them before we finally let it happen.

Saints are well within their rights to drive a hard bargain, thats fine, but the player now wants to leave and has valid reasons to want to go which Saints have created for him by selling his teammates around him.

The fact that they continue to try and force the lad to stay is frankly embarrassing and a little pathetic. It's like a sad, desperate dude trying to cling onto a relationship with his girlfriend that is already chatting up some other fella.

She's moved on dude, you need to do the same. You can hate her for it but have some balls, man up and go and find a new bird to nail :)

We will agree to split the difference imo after their next weekend's game with liverpool.

Poor old Spurs will be losers by having to pay too much and Saints will lose out by only getting £15m.

Tbh, You sound like Real Madrid fans from last season.

Every Southampton player who got sold, were sold for far greater than market price. Including Lambert, Chambers, Lallana, Shaw - all got premium price. IMO we sold Modric on bargain basement price because we didnt want to sell to a league rival.

Southampton are not the type of club that can make a stand and say MS will rot in the reserves. He will lose value and they can't afford to let that happen and will probably be forced to sell

I think this signing will still happen, why?? because tottenham and his agent must be advising him and surely wouldn't hang him out to dry.

Absolutely bang on. This is a dual strategy and MS wouldn't go this far without assurances from Levy that the probability is high that we'll end up getting him.

All about driving the price down as much as possible and MS has to play along.

They don't make the decision though, the owner does. And the situation hasn't changed because we've havn't lodged an acceptable bid yet I'd assume.

When/if we do will change the situation.

Or we needed the readies in order to make our bid for Moutinho, and time was running out fast.
