The sissoko thread after the West Ham game was fucking toxic for a player who plays for us, has never disrespected us and who always works hard.
He was bad but it wasn't his fault we didn't win, so for everyone to target their inability to deal with things not going their way at him was scapegoating
No, it is an opinion, not a fact. Actually, the facts are that he is playing better than he was last season. Moreover, if he wasn't any good he wouldn't be in the French national squad, would he?That is not true though. People go on and on and on about how good he is this season and how he has improved and how he is such a good squad player to have and all kinds of stuff. And it is a fact, he simply isn't all that good.
There were a number of factors that led to a stunning goal, but you choose to go on about one.I don’t really want to go over this again but I don’t think he did enough to stop that Obiang shot, personally.
You’re right, though, to just blame the result on him wouldn’t be entirely fair, however, as you say, he was bad so what do you expect the thread to be like? Full of comments about how great he was?
Here we go again. Based on your brilliant and unequivocal thinking, we should sign John Henderson and Jack Fucking Wilshere, because they are playing for the national team so there can't be anything wrong with them in a Spurs shirt. Am I right? Or how about those WBA players, Jonny Evans, Gareth McAuley and Chris Brunt. We should sign all of them, seeing that they are playing for Northern Ireland. No, it is an opinion, not a fact. Actually, the facts are that he is playing better than he was last season. No, that's your warped thinking. I stated it was the French national team, not some second grade footballing nation like England and N Ireland. You can carry on building your straw men, because you're clearly an expert. Here we go again. I keep thinking there's news on a transfer every time this gets bumped.
He played for England, not France. England is not in the same league as France in world football. Next.Carlton Palmer has 18 England caps
Sorry, I didn't notice which thread it was on. I thought I was on the other thread. Can't you take all this shit to his player thread? I keep thinking there's news on a transfer every time this gets bumped.
Pardon? For the most part I love twitter - and social media more broadly - and everything it stands for. It's influence on worldwide communication, news consumption, setting agendas, gathering opinions etc has been so thoroughly groundbreaking and represented a fundamental shift in the way different parts of your community, country and the entire world relate to each other.
But, yeah, for all the good it has done, and for everything it represents, as a massive communication system that involves hundreds of millions of people it's always going to attract its fair share of fuckwits. Too many people don't realise that despite their wages and their privileged, almost esteemed, place in society, footballers are actually human beings as well and just as susceptible to online harassment and abuse as anyone else.
Also, it completely undermines what it means to be a 'fan' or 'supporter.' I don't particularly rate the guy that highly, but I respect the fact that every time he pulls on the shirt he works his socks off. Unless anyone actively does anything to disrespect the club or the fans then they all deserve our support.
Get him out of our club! The worst pound for pound signing we’ve made in a while, only compounded by the fact he keeps getting games I’d pay a team to take him off our hands just so Poch can’t pick him. I haven’t been this angry about a player since Adebayor. He at least had talent, he just didn’t give a shit and was a lazy ****
That's the terrible, tragic irony; if he was lazy he wouldn't get near the squadSissoko is not a lazy player, not the best player we got, he works hard for the team and does try. Im not saying dont sell but hes going to get picked while hes here.
Tbf there's many other players you could demand to do more, but it's always Sissoko who gets all the shit..
