Sky are doing something special for young kids with deadly diseases, in this case young Callum had a tumour at 3, fought through remission but it came back again when he was 6. He is a avid spurs fan and his favourite player is Gareth Bale. Sky sports and spurs sort out a day at training where he meets the players, and gets to train with Bale. He then returns to watch the match on a Saturday vs West Spam, sat with Ledley King in his box!

The excitement and delight in the kids face is really humbling, and I'm so grateful to be a Spurs fan, sometimes I feel we take it for granted. It's on skysports news I think hourly, off sick so I thought I'd give a heads up for anyone else at home.

yeah - murdoch is a saint.
sky defo wasn't built with dirty money...

Who really gives a shit? We all know it, and still buy his papers, watch his TV, watch a league that is incredibly dependant on his money. If any of us deeply cared we wouldn't support Spurs, watch the PL or buy newspapers, all this is about is seeing this kid get some delight from Spurs.

Perhaps I'd be more forgiving if, rather than sending a camera crew along to record it, they sent a couple of kids? Or organise free season tickets for all terminally ill kids that want to see some football? They can afford it. it's PR, no more no less.

I'm happy that this boy is being given such a lovely treat after going through so much.

I don't really care what the source is; it should happen more often.

I love the way Dawson greets him, so genuine, and made sure he knew the name of the little brother. Top fella.

Very nice from all the lads at Spurs.

2 observations,

Gomes is surely the highest paid Day Care supervisor in the world.

Bale better take every penalty we're awarded, and there's no excuse for him not to fizz it into the top corner of the net.

I thought that too. The brother could have felt very left out, but all the players seemed to shake hands with both boys. I love my Tottenham players!

Having a child that has spent far too much time in hospitals, this video had me in floods.

Its amazing how our club and players continue to make us feel so proud to be Spurs fans off the pitch.

What struck me was all the staff and players willingness to be involved, all knew his name and were pleased to see him. What a great reflection on our club. Loved André Villas-Boas' little bit to camera inviting him along. There are some out takes too where Defoe gives him the shirt he wore against Ukraine for England too. Quality.

it was brillant I thought....very overwhelming actually, although I laughed when Dawson said...'I hear Gareth Bale is your favourite player, I'm disappointed to hear that' lol

feeling choked after watching that! A real football club is about more than results and league tables.
