Embarrassing that Liverpool are going for more Southampton players.
Very true. Also embarrassing a little bit for Soton too if they sell. That'll be five in a year to Liverpool, thus earning them the infamous, de-facto description of being the Bindippers' feeder club. No one likes that moniker.

Don't really see why it's embarrassing. Clyne was one of the best RBs in the league last year, and he's got 12 months on his deal. Liverpool don't have a good RB.

Had they not raided them last year, I'd obviously agree.

But I'm sure Saints fans are pretty sick of it.

Who is a better RB that currently plays in the PL (which LFC are only going for for some bizarre reason) that LFC can get?

Coleman? Not available.
Trippier? Available but Clyne is currently better and playing/played at a higher level with England national team.
Literally can't think of any others although I may be missing some.

If I had my way we'd be buying all our players from the continent but for some reason they have to be currently in the PL. Its ridiculous its as if they've literally learned nothing from last season and the poor buys.

Me too.
I think all the constant changes to our coaching staff haven't helped his development either. Under Harry he was one of the best right backs in the league for me.

He was the best RB in the league then by some distance he shouldve been the starting RB for England instead of Johnson. Sad that he hasn't kicked on more since then. He was quality.

I'd say Zabaleta, Sagna and Ivanovic were miles ahead then. Walker was always somewhat overrated because of his physicality - speed, strength and engine - but his all round play was stagnating even before the injuries.

I'd give him next season to see if he can stay fit, and regain some form.
I've got some doubts as to whether his time at a top 6 club may be coming to and end.

Coincidentally, I've got some doubts as to whether he can count to 6 :cautious:

Is Rodgers just going to keep signing Southampton players until one works out?
He's been copying everything that Poch does ever since Poch came into the Prem, from tactics to the players Poch developed. I said it at the beggining of this season that Brendan was a fraud and would get found out now Suarez has gone, and it has happened.

I can't agree with this. We've yet to see Poch try any other shape apart from 4-2-3-1, whereas Rodgers has switched shapes depending on personnel and opposition - three at the back, midfield diamond, etc...
His style at Swansea was already pretty well formed too.

He (The Brodge) wasn't so variable in his team shapes etc in his first season, and his Swansea style was already implemented long before he took the reigns. Much of Swansea's success today, is down to what Roberto Martinez implemented when he was in charge.

I reckon we'll see Pochettino switching things up next season. In my opinion, we've only seen so little change this season because of the limited personnel that Pochettino has that he feels he can trust, and the fact that the players at his disposal were used to it from previous managers, damage limitation, if you will.

I could be wrong but in 2.5 years in the PL has Poch ever not played 4-2-3-1? Whatever you think of Rodgers, to say he is aping Pochettino is nonsense.

Formations dont dictate tactics completely, such as style of play. You probably missed it but there was deffo a change in Rodgers style of play a couple of months after Pochettino joined Southampton. He's not the only one either, Roy Hodgson has clearly been taking notes whilst scouting Southampton's England players.

I feel you're giving Poch a little too much credit. As I recall, it was the Mancini City team that brought the 4-2-3-1 fashion into the PL. Now every team has tried it. Even Mourinho still adhears to it.

Did we buy Wimmer from the PL then?
