I feel in this transfer window we need another forward, with defoes imminent departure it leaves us a little short up top, if ade or soldado was to puck up a long term injury we would be in trouble, also with Europa league and fa cup we can't expect them to play every game, we need to keep Kane and not loan him out and bring in one more, I think we should get berbatov as he would drop deep like ade and create aplenty as well as score goals, and he would be cheap to get, we would make a profit with selling defoe so levy would be happy, what do you guys think? And any suggestions fir attainable realistic forward signings??

I quite like the idea of Jordan Rhodes. He's not going to expect to walk into a side like Spurs, with topbquality like Ade and Soldado in front of him, but will look to impress when given his shot. He's been tearing it up in the Championship so obviously has an eye for goal. With both Ade and Soldado getting on too, it would be ideal to have him understudy, particularly Soldado, so that he could step in more frequently and, eventually, claim the spot as his own.

I actually agree that for 6 months Berbatov makes a lot of sense. We know his negatives, and the dick-ish way in which he left so I won't go into them again.

But,

Superbly intelligent footballer.
Will be cheap.
Knows the Prem
Knows the club-these two are important as he can come in and hit the ground running.
Can create chances.
Will score if given service.
With Eriksen and Soldado I could see a recreation of the Berba/Keane effect.
He has enough quality to be part of a rotation with Soldado/Ade.
He's of an age where he probably won't halt the bringing through of youngsters long term.

TS obviously wants to play 442. No way are we competing in all our comps with just Ade/Soldado/Kane.

Berbatov would be perfect for Sherwoods spurs. Great link up with Ade and especially Soldado. Cheap signing that won't hurt us if a new manager come in during the summer and want's a different style of striker
