Just spoke to my Dad, he's a regional manager for bakery at Sainsburys for stores in the region around Beds, Herts and a few London ones. He spoke to the guy who does his job in the North London area, the store at WHL will be one he covers. It's now scheduled to open late September

a little update from edmonton, they are discussing if getting 200m for the naming rights is realistic and edmonton replies:
I think it's just achievable with the right sponsor, Danny is throwing in naming of the training ground and some other stuff.
As you say, the game has grown but counterbalanced by recession since the deathstar was built and the surrounding area to our new stadium that the Council can't see the problem with but Danny is willing to change for them.
I've overheard naming interest from 3 parties over recent years, one serious but I don't think anything is close.

Are we going to be dependent on naming rights as we once were? I'm sure the club will want to maximise naming rights revenue, of course, but the winners of the Premier league will get £100m this season and for the next few seasons until the next TV rights deal is agreed. If we manage to finish top four that'd be £90m+ as well as a potential £30m or so from the Champions league should we get in on top of £50m in matchday revenue. That's £170m a season! We could pay for a new stadium with two or three seasons worth of revenue. That's not even counting naming rights, shirt sponsorship, kit deals, other advertising. If we really go for it this season, and it looks like we are, we could end the season in a very promising position which would make us even more attractive to sponsors. Levy's priority this season must surely be raising the value of the Spurs brand.

Of course, we have costs but player wages are relatively small and we could possibly sustain the squad with minimal investment for a few seasons.

It's now scheduled to open late September

That's what I initially thought but the official line is November. I'd be surprised if that's changed but it's not impossible. If I can confirm I will

We are, where we were a few months ago........ Rumours of a Stadium update from the club, Sept/Oct, would imagine most of the decision makers, have other things to keep them occupied for now.

I saw some stuff on Twitter, the Under Armour contract would have to be broken up (I presume there is a get out clause for both parties in the contract).

I'm not surprised that were linked with them, their losing Arsenal at the end of the season and we are becoming increasingly more attractive. They also sponsor a lot of our players so that's a marketing incentive for them.

I cant see UA letting their association with us go without a fight, especially if they were losing out to Nike who they are threatening to usurp in the States apparently.

They need to increase their revenues in Europe maybe it'll create a bidding war.

Here's hoping. They've both got money to burn but tbh £300m is about what we need I think (overall cost of project touted at £450m, we must've spent over £100m so far I would've thought). Financing the whole thing without having to take on debt like the Gooners did would be unreal!

Sounds a lot.

With the new design by populous and the government taking responsibility for the enabling works. Do we really have any idea on how much its going to cost?

Hope it's true, i said last year nike would be my choice for naming rights. Goddess of victory and all that.

Just been looking at pics of the new San Mames, I see they built 3 parts of the stadium joined onto the old one, is our building plan similar to this?

He says Nov 5th is a definitive date now, don't know why it's changed so much. Apparently for a while parking is controlled so no football fans are supposed to park there then after that period fans are able to park in there 2 hours before and 2 hours after the game.

Also apparently AVB and two players will open the store and the stadium is expected to open 2016. I doubt they'd know that for sure and is probably an educated guess

I'll take a flying guess that it's because virtually the whole of the south end is still open to the elements.

It's been 6th of November for weeks, hasn't changed at all in that time. Sounds like someone mislead him previously.

hope we see some news on this very soon i am actually more excited about the new ground than anything else at the moment & with the current crop of young and top quality players we have and the squad we're building what better time to build it?
we need this to end the selling to Real Madrid crap once and for all and to cement ourselves as not just a top 4 side but a side that is capable of attracting top class players and winning things on a regular basis.

Whats the deal with Sainaburys ?

Is it a 65m one off or are we getting a favourable rent (as I read here) ?

The rent would see our TO increase
