Well at least our defeat against Arsenal won't be on the back page of the papers tomorrow.

Looney Toons - Gazza for manager.

Edit: Gazza has more managerial experience than Shearer.

Glad we're not Newcastle.

8 months into a three-year contract. Plus Bolton were after £5m compo for 'poaching' him.

Madness - now I´m gonna be dreaming of signing N´Zogbia.

But back on topic: I do feel sorry for Allardyce. He needed time. Plus, as bad as they were, how bad does that make us given they´re still above us?

Does anybody else think Harry Redknapp will be the next manager of the barcodes. We know that the Newcastle Owner Mike Ashley and our former VP Paul Kelmsley are bum-chums and we know that Kelmsley is good friends with Harry and wanted him as our manager so don't be suprised if Harry is Mike Ashley's mate and gets appointed the manager of the barcodes.

So, farewell, Fat Controller.

I must say I hadn't expected him to get the bullet quite so soon. I thought scraping a draw against Stoke had given him a lifeline.

That's a good shout, but i'm not sure Harry would want to move up north.

I can't see Redknapp leaving the south coast to go up north, Pompey's perfect for Harry.

I'm licking my lips at the prospect of Shearer failing miserably. I really hate that ****.

There is something about Shearer that makes him incredibly easy to dislike.

The fact that he scored against us nearly everytime he played against us might have something to do with that one.

Welcome back BMJ

Fat Sam has gone from the Toon - Jol is a cert for the job (unless he really is keen on the Oranje job). Wonder what he'll be able to do with all that talent and, more interestingly, full control of transfers.

He'll be challenging the top 4 by the end of next season....

Possible but unlikely.
