The only silver lining in this humiliation is that we can put to bed this notion that the club should just build from within. That everyone on the team will improve exponentially next season and that we just need a few squad players in a no net spend summer to keep team chemistry and continuity in tact.

If we don't spend heavily this summer and improve this squad, we will struggle mightily with no rotation in CL football. Given all our top players absent Eriksen will be gone to the Euros/Copa America/Olympics, we are just asking for another slow start without proper spending in the summer.

Pochettino should've used his bargaining position in contract negotiations to extract massive transfer concessions from Levy. If he didn't (which he seemed to indicate was the case in an interview a few weeks back), then he isn't the shrewd operator I believed him to be.

It's not about the bragging rights, it's about the fact they have not bothered to turn up and are not bothered about finishing second, it's spinless and a typical spurs situation, the type of situation we thought we had finally done away with.

There is no excuse for it, I don't care how good the season has been, to end it like this is unacceptable and leaves a sour taste in the mouth, we haven't even beaten AVB's best point total, that shows that we are not as good as we clearly think we are.

I think it's the sudden lack of fight that has pissed people off. It's like we used up all our fight in the Chelsea game. I can take losing to any team. I can't take not giving everything for 90 mins and tbh this doesn't feel like they are giving anything close to everything. It's like they don't want to risk an injury ahead of the Euros. Totally unacceptable.
