Can't speak for others but I'm not embarrassed in the same way as you, and don't envy the many I know who've walked away in the sense they don't go once in a blue moon now if at all.

I am fkin incensed not by the score line, but by the attitude we started the game with, which makes me highly doubt the narrative we've bought into as the season went on, when without a couple of key players we actually look pretty ordinary.

One is the cog and the other is a kid with imagination who takes risks.

It's in my blood and fingers crossed after a couple of quality signings and watching the stadium start to go up I will dig deep and be back for more. Enjoy Tescos yourself.

Fair play mate. I wasn't talking about today I actually meant in general. I didn't even watch the match and I only watched maybe 5 games this year on dodgy streams. I'm a bad fan.. the club are better off without me.

I didn't underatand the tescos reference.

Bang on the money. You just have to look at who gave you negative reactions and you won't be surprised to see backstabbers like Kingofotters (whose choice of name is interesting if it indicates his/her politics).
People need to to realise that you don't get a special trophy for coming second and that's the small team mentality that Poch is trying to rid us of. I'm glad he met Ferguson now, because he will have learnt a lot about how to rid Spurs of that.

Fergie would have toe punted a football boot into every single players face after the game today.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino: "First of all I would like to apologise to our fans, I think they don’t deserve all that happened today on the pitch and I apologise. It was a shame and diffcult to understand

"In the last couple of weeks when you do not play with 100 per cent it is impossible to win games and after Chelsea something happened. We cannot manage games in the right way.

"I am very disappointed because our fans don’t deserve it, it is difficult to go tonight and see my boys and my wife. I think it is unbelievable and we are very disappointed.

"We had the possibility to stay second and how we lost and how we gave to the opponent that is relegated, in the first and second half, they score three goals with 10 players it is the worst day as a manager and I feel very disappointed. We need to be sure that never happens again and need to improve our mentality. We were on holiday and that is the reality."

Point 1 - Finishing below the Goons is pathetic when just 3 weeks ago we were chasing the title.

We're entitled to be entirely fucked off with what has happened since the Man Utd & Stoke games. Gone from a team who looked like they deserved the title, to a side that looked like they deserved relegation.
There are absolutely no excuses for the complete capitulation.

Yes, 3rd place, and the CL group status that goes with it is great, but we've gone out with a whimper instead of a bang.
And? A big so what.

The gooners will be having an open top bus parade and dining out on this for years. And what exactly does that tell you?

Answer: that they are small time mugs that over celebrate small victories instead of concentrating on their faults and weaknesses.

Exactly what I don't want our team or fans to become.

3rd place. Champions league football. A young, quality, hungry team that will want to better this seasons performance from this season and a manager that will demand it.

Not even mentioned the new stadium.

By all means wallow. But for me though, we have bigger and better days and times ahead of us, and I'll be concentrating my energies on that thanks very much.

More like 4-5

We haven't got cover for Dier and Dembele at the back/centre of the midfield, Dele Alli and Kane. So I'd agree with Hercules, 4 new players would be very useful.

If the other players in the 1st team are injured or suspended we have cover, sort of. i don't think we can realistically expect anyone better than Vorm to warm the bench and wait for Hugo to get injured.

When I get over the stab in the guts today and the Arsenal fan at my wholesalers has stopped gloating, I'll probably look back on this season as a success....champions league, new stadium etc etc. It will take a while.

Disgusting that he as the manager, gauged that impression.

I would cover the walls of the training ground in tweets and comments from Arsenal fans and other pundits, to show what it fucking means to finish below them again.

They are professional players, they had the title to aim at, when that went it was CL football, coming second or third makes no difference to many of them as they achieved CL regardless so it was job done.

You right awful mentality, hard to put to down to Mason being average as he went off but the likes of Verts, Eriksen etc always seem to be great when the going is good but useless under pressure.

It's why we need genuine competition for places, not crap backups, Eriksen needs to know if he doesn't care he drops to the bench.

If we are to progress, we need to sign some real quality as our depth is not good enough.

Am worried about what this result will do for us going forward. The players will need to win back the fans early next season, otherwise it could fester into something much worse.

Why don't you think about the logic of what you have written? It was a two horse race for first, which you get a trophy for. You don't get anything for the other places. Only Spurs fans on here have a tendency not to appreciate what has been achieved this year, but the rest of the footballing world does.

Yes, 'the rest of the footballing world' are really queuing round the block to sing our praises right now. We're the top trend on Twitter, and it's consists of 99% of the userbase ripping the fucking piss out of us.

Go and check it out.

Let the dust settle... We need time to get over this humiliation.

But the team deserves a lot of credit for the work put in this season.

Yes after Chelsea, our heads dropped. Frankly I blame the media for hyping the title challenge. But that's football, the coaching team still has to motivate the players for every match, even thou it doesn't mean as much anymore.

I can't stress this enough. WE FINISH 3RD! Take a deep breath... Newcastle can celebrate the victory. But when the dust settles... They are in the championship, we are in the champions league.

What hyping? The media have kept a low profile on us ALL season.

I'd make them all come in for double training this week. Fuck any holidays they have planned. He is spot on, they were on holiday the last 2 games so they now us 2 weeks of hard training to make up for it.

trust me, today the rest of the football world is laughing at us. The same way we laughed at Liverpool when they 'only' finished 2nd a few years back.

Its true, we finished 3rd in 2 horse race. Thats funny. For fans of every other club.
