I didn’t realise his agent works for Raiola’s company. Should make things interesting. Can’t imagine she’s going to struggle to get him out of Feyenoord if we need her help to negotiate that.

I can't see how it would be a problem to get him out of a relatively low paid 2 year contract if he wants to go

But that's a debate for another thread.....

You've missed the point completely..... I want a manager who is committed to us and not dropping us at a moments notice.

Nothing about ambition..... we want a top manager to make us successful not to make up the numbers i don't think there's a single fan who is happy with us to just be mediocre as a team.
He just means don't worry about it. We had the same issue with Poch every 5 minutes and people got stressed because he wasn't immediately putting out a statement every time he was linked with another club. I presume that most of that was based on him going from Alkmaar to Feyenoord.

I think it will be a sticking point for me.....him meeting secretly with Feyenoord whilst employed by AZ Alkmaar....shows he pays no regard to his contract.

I get he would have to have had a degree of success with us or have us competing at the top end of the league for other bigger clubs to want him....... but I would like our next manager here long term and committed to the club and not dropping his knickers at the slightest opportunityof a another club flirting with him or his agent.
Such as who? We would pay our manager a very high amount of money, especially if they are successful. Success at Spurs would equate to success in British/European football. Which team would he actually move to?

It's the same terribly unambitious argument people on here put forward with regard to players. Don't buy player x because if he does well he'll be on the first flight to join real madrid.

If Slot joins and does well enough to peak the interest of the mega clubs, it means we as a club have done well.

Be brave

Also this shouldn't be about Slot being a Jesus figure and us being depended on him. We should be on a rise as a club, build an identity and philosophy which another similar manager could take over seamlessly. We should already start to scope the market for his replacement. When Slot leaves there should be someone ready to replace him to improve us. It's no surprise we go stale and run into dead ends.

So all the media etc are convinced it's Slot and it'll be tied up in the next week or two.

I'd be really happy with that. He gives me BMJ vibes, and not just because he is folically challenged.
