Why do I have a horrible feeling we are going to get a repeat of the Nuno appointment?

There will be shit load of rumours about who we are speaking to and then a week before the season starts we will end up with someone completely out of left field and totally unsuited to our club.
The reason I don't think that'll happen is because surely even Levy isn't daft enough to let that happen again?!
He must surely know that after his last three appointments being disasters, and expensive ones at that, he's GOT to get it right this time.

There's no point the stadium earning us all this money if the chairman is going to keep throwing it down the drain with stupidity.

Anyone think Levy is waiting to see if we get in europe as the deciding factor on who the manager will be. For eg with no europe keeping mason in charge and Mason having to deal with keeping current squad and loanees returning and make Roden the CB we need lol

That would be such an idiotic thing to do.

....so yes I can see it

That in my opinion is the worst decision to make.

The right manager is the right manager regardless of us being in Europe or not.

It’s got fuck all to do with theories dreamed up whilst absentmindedly picking your nose or sitting on the bog easing out a log and much more to do with the timing and impending end of the season ;)

I just feel that if there was a real plan then we might have already started to see the beginnings of it by now.
I’m seeing a plan which involves Nagelsmann waiting to see who the DOF is before committing, might not come off but that looks like the plan.

Oliver Glasner is leaving Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of this season. I know we were linked tenuously a few weeks back. Hopefully he’s not on the list. It would seem somewhat uninspiring.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Probably based purely on experience.

Appointment of both depends if they have worked/know each other, so I wouldn't be that shocked if both are announced at the same time or at least within a short space of time
It’s a great point although I suppose the DofF needs to be a longer term appointment as in theory they should outlast any manager we hire.

Would love Nagelsman and one of Rangnicks deciples as DofF.

Yea I’m still really worried about this as it’s the kind of out of the blue type of appointment that Fonseca would’ve been except that Glasner plays 3-4-3 and the football is boring whereas Fonseca’s teams play high possession brave attacking football.

Really really hope it’s not Glasner! 🙏

Glasner would be a disastrous appointment. Another boring, defensive manager. Would be gone within 3-6 months.

It would be very odd to appoint the manager before the DOF surely. Wouldn't shock me but it would show Levy has not taken a step back at all from the footballing decisions like he keeps promising.
