Don’t all managers sulk though? Don’t you remember how Poch was for the last year(ish) of his time? The whole “the club should change my job title” thing?
They all sulk, but Poch sulked at the end once he'd shown and proven he was worth investing in. Tuchal etc have already had success so they will be wondering what the fuck they've walked into after one transfer window

Yea if we lose on sat conte will be sacked the same day

If he is still with us I expect us to lose Saturday. The richarlison comments and the Kane sub situation tells me he’s losing or has lost the dressing room. No way does they happen if the manager has the players’ respect.

I think it is still quite hard to sack him though despite the last three results. His argument is that he wasn’t here for two of them. Unfortunately I reckon he gets Saturday. If we lose that then he may go next week but even then I wouldn’t be sure.

We now have the third oldest team in the Premier League. These are our 11 players with most minutes this season. Just one is under 23. Three more are under 26, so still pre-peak ages.

Perisić and Lloris are getting to the end of their careers. Kane, Dier and Davies will turn 30 this year and Son will be 31.

This is just not sustainable. We've still got a couple of younger players on our books - Sarr, Skipp, Porro, Bryan, Udogie and Sess - but they are no world bearers, aren' they.

We need a massive rebuild in the next few transfer windows and that's on top of the obvious problems with the squad right now. We need a new GK, two top young CBs, a new young CM (we've got five of almost the same profile) and a new striker when Kane leaves.

That's why I don't think the new manager will change things as much as a proper rebuild will.

Win or lose. Right now, I’d just love to watch a match that I can enjoy and see a way of playing or atleast an idea.
This starts with the manger.

As far as the players are concerned. Only Kane I feel a connection with. The rest can just fuck off

For goodness sake, can we just appoint Poch now so I can at least feel that warm glow for about 6 months before it inevitably all falls apart again?

We need to let Ryan Mason have a go until the end of the season. He knows the club very well and understands what the fans need. In the meantime, think of a long term strategy for football. However, most importantly, book another flight for Conte to return to Italy tonight.
Harry Winks has entered the chat.

Not that i think we should go for him but i also think there's a decent chance that Galtier gets fired at the end of the season. It really hasn't go so smoothly for him at PSG... surprise surprise. He's a good manager but I wouldn't put him on our list. Also would mean PSG will be looking for a new manager.

I just hope we appoint a coach and not a manager. Conte and Jose are system guys who demand world class ready made players to get the most out of their systems. This is never going to work with the way our Daniel runs the club. His last 3 managerial appointments have almost been masochistic. Levy is going nowhere so hopefully he will appoint someone that he can actually support in a way that is possible for him. A coach that can take young players with world class potential and make them better and produce a team that we as fans can get behind. It may mean we go backwards for a bit but longer term hopefully it becomes a winning strategy.

It's gotta be Poch.

Not that it's necessarily going to work out well, we just need to get his return out of our system, good or bad.

Anyone else is always going to have the "he's magic, you know" chant reeled out at the first sign of trouble.

It’s not hard to sack him. “Thanks, but this isn’t working out. Here’s your cheque. Best of luck.”

It’s only hard if you give a fuck about other people’s opinions.

So we sacked a manager just before a cup final and now many on SC want to sack a manager who has us 4th in the PL. Brave chairman who does this.

I was at the ground and didn't see the kane sub situation. Was that genuinely a thing? Media haven't picked up on it

I think the age thing is a bit blown out of proportion tbh. Perisic was always a short term buy and we know Lloris needs replacing - replace those 2 with Udogie and keeper in his mid-20s and the average drops significantly. Neither Lloris or Perisic have been very good recently so it's really not a big deal in quality-terms to replace them.

Dier and Davies should both be squad players going forward too, so also not a big deal.

The main issue isn't really age - it's replacing our 2 world class players in Kane and Son adequately. That is going to be borderline impossible, although we've just had a taste of what it's like to go an entire season without Son I suppose.

It's also hard if you haven't got a clear plan after sacking him

Dumped meekly out of FA Cup and Champions League and currently 4th but firmly in reverse. Blind Chairman not noticing the reality.
