Agree with most of your points here. I just think Enrique will be seen as lower risk due to being the bigger name and history of winning trophies in Europe. Even his national team experience will count in his favour.

Whereas as impressive as Gallardo has been in Argentina he only has experience of managing in one league.

I personally would be happy with either but I feel the club is more likely to go for the safer option in Enrique.
Gallardo also won the Uruguayan league with Nacional in his first season as manager before moving to River so he’s not just a one club manager.

I do agree with you that Levy will probably see Enrique as the lower risk option. But I just feel that isn’t necessarily the case and I actually think Enrique is a very risky option when taking everything into consideration. Unfortunately I think that, as you say, his one CL win will sway Levy.

We don't need an elite level budget for players to compete for CL qualification and have the squad strength to compete in a domestic up as well. Approaching Goon level, best of the rest, spent by people who know what they're doing, is what we need for the next few years. GK, 2 CBs and MacAllister

Or a proven elite level manager. Just somebody who prefers attack, and can flex.

I don’t think we need that many to get us there. Wingers wise, we’re already set because Gil will come back in the fold if he’s here and suspect he’ll want Danjuma to stay as a technical option.

Fullbacks wise, our current crop (including Udogie and the return of Reguilon) are perfect for his aggressive, overlapping style.

Defence, I think a technical LCB and young backup option are needed. If Enrique comes in no doubt in my mind we’ll move for Pau Torres. He rates him highly.

A new ball playing GK is needed. Again, David Raya is a player he knows from the Spanish NT and seems available.

And as for CM, think he will want a creative player who could either play in a 3 or push up to number 10 in a 4-2-3-1. If we’re backing him, Dani Olmo is the ideal option. But likely an Alex Scott for this role.

So 3/4 players in key spots and we could easily transition to a high-pressing, quick possession 4-3-3 team in his mould.

Some great suggestions here except for Pau Torres. Enrique wanting Torres here is enough to put me off him as manager.

Pau Torres in the PL playing a high line is a massive disaster waiting to happen.

Good analysis and some of this is ifs and buts but if we’d hired a coach more like Enrique ten Haag etc after Jose or at least after Nuno then the rebuild would be almost complete right now rather than us having to sign 4 new wing backs and 2-3 new CB’s and 2 physical CM’s and 2 AM’s etc, we would’ve needed about 4-5 players less as part of a re-build, I also think Lo Celso in his proper position in a technical possession based team could’ve been utilised.

I hope the next manager if more in the ten Haag/enquire style mould and we can go and get E.g. Raya, P.Torres, Maddison, bring back Reguillion and Gil and sign another AM if we won’t be making Danjuma permanent and our squad would be very very strong and suited to a more possession based 4-2-3-1/4-3-3

Plus hes suspect in the air when playing in european competitions or abroad (La Liga really play with ball in the air)

With Clement under pressure, I think its written for Gallardo to go to Monaco where he was a legend of a player and speaks fluent French.
Clement under pressure ??
Yesterday in the Belgian press (source L'équipe ) was an article that Monaco want to give him a new long term contract as soon as possible (still has a contract till '24).
Paul Mitchell will depart as their DoF and they want Clement to choose the new DoF.
He was wanted by Leeds a few months ago but refused.

Few articles said he was under pressure. Think because they got knocked out in Europe and then battered at home. The way football is these days.

We could just bring back Lo Celso instead of signing another AM/CM tbf.

We could but...he's (in the Prem) rubbish!

I don't agree. He looked good in the early days of Jose. Besides, I think the main issue he has faced is he was bought for a manager wanting to play possession football, who was subsequently sacked and then replaced by a succession of managers who don't value possession.

If we move back to a possession based style I think he will do just fine.

I'd want a little more productivity than the 8 goals and 6 assists in 84 games he's played for us previously. Can't recollect any point I thought he looked good.

Are you suggesting Levy should have forced Keane and Berbatov to stay ?
No I'm suggesting that replacing one of the best strikers in the premier League with Frazer Campbell wasnt going to end well.

But yes if the option was berbatov unhappy for another 6 months or Fraser Campbell i know what I'd have picked.

He got Levy'd. Berbs and Keane out for Frazer and Pav. Last spurs manager to win anything. Imagine if levy hadnt screwed him over.
Meh he had an average record before sevilla and an average one after. Meanwhile sevilla continued to do well after he left. He was a well functioning part of a well oiled machine of a club. But was never special in of himself.
