If Naggelsman was really interested in managing us he surely takes the job now, if he wants to keep his options open for possible bigger and better things he "wants a break", or he feels he still has a good rep and is not willing to risk that by working for Levy.
To be fair Nagglesman was only sacked what 2-3 days ago in a very unexpected manner.

I think he’s also been put on leave so to speak so he’s still on the Bayern payroll as he has the rest of his 3 year contract to be paid out or he continues to be paid his wages until another club appoints him in which case Bayern then stop paying him.

If I’m Nagglesman absolutely no need for me to rush into choosing a new job and new country and new life within 2 days after losing my dream job unexpectedly, he will for sure be taking at least s bit of time to digest things and work out his next steps.

If I was a betting man we are going to end up with a pre-agreement for Galtier or we will get Poch back this summer and either one might be announced a few weeks before the end of the season.

We're in a state of limbo aren't we.

I wonder if managers are wanting to wait until preseason and to see where we finish. A couple of good choices might be waiting to see what happens in Madrid too. Then there's the DOF situation 🙈

The caretaker option was probably the best one, hopefully we enjoy the next 10 games if nothing else.

I guess having to the end of the season to now find a new manager has it's good and bad points:

Good - allows us plenty of time to do due diligence when looking at new candidates.

Bad - Allows the new candidates plenty of time to do due diligence about what it's like working here under LEvy!

You would hope that behind the scenes we have got someone lined up to take the job in the summer that either isn't available now or needs some time out. But then after:

  • The absolute shambles of the search for Mourinho's replacement that ended up with Nuno 2.5 months later
  • Sherwood being given the job for half a season whilst we courted Van Gaal before settling on Poch
  • Pleat being given almost a full season as caretaker

Then it wouldn't surprise me if there is genuinely no outstanding candidate yet and no real plan from here - just a few that have said "let's wait and see". Whilst Paratici is still here with the court case over his head I can see this dragging on for a while.

Totally agree. Everything we can see is that this could happen again. I worry that although many of us think Nagelsman is a good target and potential fit and should be the number one target, there is always a chance that doesn't materialize.

Just hope that we can sort out an answer from him (if he is the target) and head in to the Summer with a plan.

Sorry Nagelsmann, needs to be done now(whether he comes now or the summer) or we need to move on

We cant be waiting for him to then change his mind and us enter a 2021 situation

I honestly don’t see anything that has suggested to me that the board have the slightest idea that they know what they are doing, have a plan or are all on the same page.

I would fully expect that discussions are still taking place as to who they want next.

The footballing side of our club is total amateur hour. Awful.

yep fine for him to sign a contract for the summer but a let me see my options sitiuation, no move on, we can’t be the 2-3rd choice back up for him.

Just interesting about Conceicao, Andy Brassel who watches lots of Portugese football says Conceicao teams play on the front foot, attacking and very aggressive. He's been pushing for Conceicao to Spurs.

Like many on here I have little faith that the board will get us the right manager, whether they have weeks, months or years. But maybe we will luck out as we did with MP

I do think though that with only 10 games left Stellini and Mason seems a sensible idea

Youre making out like everyone who we want would be available right now to come in. There are 10 games left with a squad who are low on confidence etc. Who do you think is gonna come in?

Oh ok then, I wonder why the club didn't think of that 🤔
