Take the Levy abuse to the Ousting Levy thread please!

It might be his fault, but clogging up every thread with the same repetitive stuff is getting very tedious!

I can’t understand this at all to be honest. If this had come out a few weeks ago maybe - but why all of a sudden yesterday? He’s been getting ‘abuse’ for weeks.
Strikes me as more bullshit released to try and bring the fans back on side - ultimately there will be no change with levy - he’s too pig headed and arrogant - you can tell from his demeanour (also have some experience around the stadium build)
He is an utter control freak - that will not change.
The only reason he will change his thinking will be to do with £££ - and even then the change will be to suit his own agenda.
Don’t confuse the upturn with Poch as ‘by design’
It was pure luck that levy fell on his feet - and now he wants it again with a new manager - if he genuinely knew how to get it back a decision would be made with someone like slot already - not still flirting with the big names!

I love this notion that all of the good things that Levy did in the first 15 years of his tenure were down to luck, whilst holding him solely responsible for our decline since Pochettino left.

Nice and nuanced.

The idea of Levy being shocked yesterday confirms to me that he is surrounded by yes men, unwilling to explain to him honestly how it really is. Either that or they are all completely oblivious. Not sure which is more terrifying.

Agree. Out of all the paragraphs I posted over it is the least interesting as well.

Sounds like if Nagelsmann doesn’t happen this week then it will be slot next. If he’s got that right of course.

I’ve no money on Nagelsmann so from experience, it will probably be him!

Will be interesting to see how the DOF appointment plays into this considering we’ve heard they want to get that done first. But who knows with us!

Slot for me....
Looking in from the outside the perception to me is that Slot actually wants the job, whereas i still feel with Naglesmann hes perhaps using us to flirt with other clubs and always will want the next biggest thing...

We need a big reset, no egos just people and players that fight for the club and work hard together. to me, perhaps nagglesmann is just another ego in the pot that could clash

could be completely doing him and injustice , but that's how it perhaps could be perceived.

Does this sound to everyone like we are lining up managers ready for the new DOF to pick from the 2/3 we are happy with from a higher level.

Im not sure this is a board, moving from one to another, just waiting for the last jigsaw in the puzzle to have their say. However we have learned from last time, where Paratici came in, and ripped up everything we had already done and started the search again.

I mean I might be too hopeful but this way things happen quickly, but if either appointment doesn't work out, the two roles are not dependant on a certain person being in each role.

I usually associate brinksmanship with buying players but I guess it works with managers too when there's a few in the picture. So it's perfectly reasonable to think nagelsmann is out and then potentially in.

While it's easy (and lazy imo) to criticise the process by saying levy should just pick one and go all out, it's not as simple as that with managers making demands then changing them, then another moving forward etc. He has to get a good deal for the club and make sure he doesn't offer things we can't deliver on.
