I should try harder to keep up with the rule changes.....i wasn't aware of this one...


Starting with the 2010 NFL playoffs, if the team that wins the coin toss only scores a field goal during its first possession, the opposing team will get a possession.
If the coin toss winning team scores a touchdown, the game ends.
If the game remains tied after the opposing team's possession, then the game will go into sudden death.
Overtime periods will be played until the tie is broken.
