Haha. Manning and Thomas both have Super Bowl records but have only scored 8 points.

Disappointed at the one sided game, totally not an advert for the sport. Gald at least the Bronco's had a consolation "goal"...

Feel for them, but from the stuff the analyist where talking about at HT. they really didn't prepare for the game. Their plan was, we played this way to get here, we just got to continue our style and we will win.

Think we all know, cup finals are always different from a league match, every team will raise their game for the finals. And they fell badly short,

The Who were a shambles, the performance was poor, long past it, sad to see, you should listen to some of their early live shows to hear the gulf in difference.

And then there's Flloyd Mayweather who put £10 million on a Broncos win....... HAHAHAHA

Mind you, he probably put same on the Seahawks at better odds.

As comprehensive a victory as you can get in NFL and further confirmation that defence does win Championships.

The speed and execution of the Seattle secondary was extraordinary led not by Sherman, but by Thomas although Chancellor is a beast at SS but I was really impressed by the poise of Wilson and the underrated receiving corp.

People will blame Manning but what can he do when the pocket collapses around him - he was offered little protection and Bennett and Avril were pressurising at almost every opportunity so Manning could never get into rhythm.

A deserved win for the Seahawks who scarily, I think will improve next year as well as they won't be in a position of losing anyone of calibre - a dynasty might well have been born.

The salary cap will make sure that doesn't happen. Golden Tate, Doug Baldwin, Michael Bennett, Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond all need to have their contracts renewed this off season and Seattle have just under $3m left in cap space.

Bennett will definitely stay and i'd imagine one of Tate and Baldwin's contracts will be renegotiated.

Easily rectified in the draft though so unless complacency slips in, Seattle go into next season as huge favourites.

Anyone look at that Seattle defensive performance last night, and wonder about all the steroid bans they've had in the last couple of years?

As a Seahawks fan I thoroughly enjoyed that match up, shame Manning didn't really step up - I went to Indy last year and they still love him there, so he must be something special on his day!

Anyway, woohoo go hawks!

I made the same comment last night, when they were talking about the average age of the team and their big future.

...yeah, until they have to pay them all. It's nigh on impossible to keep the band together come contract time. This GM will really earn his crust if he keeps drafting well over the next handful of years.

I had a friend text me and said, not to worry, I'm sure that as a Spurs fan, you're used to things like things.

Whats even more impressive is that russel wilson wins a superbowl in his second year in the nfl..he was suppose to be a back up to matt flynn when they drafted him cause of his height. Great qb and great professional in general.

No. The guy's won a Super Bowl and is one of the best, if not the best quarterback of all time. Denver will probably try and get a young QB to develop just like Green Bay did with Favre and Rodgers.

Manning isn't to blame for this farce. The o-line's blocking hasn't been up to scratch, they've killed drives with stupid false starts, the centre had a brain-fart with the snap that led to the safety and the wide receivers are lacking positional awareness.
TBF I personally do not want him gone for another season (though he will have to retire at some point). What I do want is a new offensive coordinator, maybe even head coach. Difficult, since Gase is still new in the job (promoted less than a year ago, I think), and MAnning might not be far away from a position were he might want the job :) . Besides - Gase has been quite inventive and fun to watch - and I´d watch Gase´s offense over Quinn´s defense every time.

Either way, there is a need for someone who can keep the broncos from being the worst bottling team in the sport (every bloody team I follow - no matter which sport - what the fsk is wrong with me). Also some upgrades in the O-line and spending some more time on the second and third sting of the defence.
Maybe avoid certain types of players (personally I want Von Miller tossed out), though this might be difficult because of the extremely soft line policies of american sports on cheating and lying.
