No 'Yid flags' for our Carling Cup tie

I for one have always hated the term YID, it has always been used in the meanest sense towards spurs fans and is used every day on every internent forum as a term of abuse.
I also hate the "YID ARMY" chant and have never joined in as its utterly moronic, i understand why spurs fans adopted the chant but dissagree with its use.

For a start i am not jewish and therefore why in hell would i adopt a chant that that makes me out to be so.

The previous post about "rug butting nutcases willing to blow themselves up" is one of the most rascist posts i have seen on here.

My personel view is that Israel is most most racist nation on earth, a nation that is not tolorent of any other race or religion at all. A nation that somehow gets away with invading Palestine whenever it wants, in fact the holocast that Israel inflicts on Palestine which in affect is an open prison is a disgrace of the highest order, yet sanctions are never used on the the illegal state of Israel.
This is just my personel views, yet i fully expect to be banned for them as they will offend our jewish members, but i will ask one question, why do they offend?

I am not bothered by the term yid, or us referring to our selves as the 'yid army' etc.

At the end of the day though it is an offense term that was designed as a derogatory term to dehumanise a group of people, so in effect it is no differnt to the term 'Nigger' or 'Paki' etc.

I don't subscribe to the idea that we sing it to show solidarity to a group of people or 'take back' the word in the way certain black people claim to do with 'nigga' etc.

I would think we would be in agreement that it was wrong if our fans suddenly started shouting 'niggers' or 'nigger army' (even if it was meant as 'nigga' in an attempt to show support for a large community of black SPurs supporters)

So by my own logic I don't see shouting 'Yid' as being any better, regardless of the history behind our fans reasons for doing so. Ultimately (in my opinion) it is the chanting of a racist word used to offend others, I am not a fan of our club doing it....but then I am really sure no one cares what I think anyway.

There are two sides to every story. You are walking on very dangerous ground here matey.
The leading party of Palestine is Hamas. Hamas' main objective is to drive the Jews and the State Of Israel to the sea.
Israel does not 'invade Palestine'. It has rockets being fired at it and goes in to take out those that are firing on them. What other country in the world would sit there and let its civilians come under rocket and mortar attack ?
Innocent civilians on both sides are injured or killed and it is a sad situation but until Hamas accept Israel has a right to exist this will go on for a very long time.

Yep , whatever your opinions on the rights and wrongs of it making fuss about it is just going to be a red rag to a bull .

well in israel a lot of people know my insanity for spurs
it will be hard for me to write my story in english but trust me that i am one of the most loyal supporter in the planet.
by the way i have a satellite three years now and i see all 38 eight games of spurs live (or any epl game) include the f.a cup and the carling cup and its heaven for me after years of listening true bbc worls service and the internet.
