I know it's obvious, but we need to win more.
Our unbeaten run is great, but w need to keep chalking up the three points regularly. If we remain unbeaten in the next 10 games (not likely) but have too many draws in there then we'll be swallowed up by the chasing pack.

Ok before everyone rolls around laughing I'll explain my thinking... Whoever we sign in the January window (a) Has to be from a club that plays a pressing game, we have seen the benefit of that with Son, he got the system straight away because he came from a club that press. It takes time to learn what's required in the system, so buying someone that knows what's required is a big plus.
(b) They have to be able to play in the Europa Lg,.. now I think Embolo would be a brilliant signing for us however do you pay 20+ ml for someone who would be cup-tied can't play for us in Europa Lg & Kane is obviously going to be picked for every PL game, so would he get the mins this season..
The one I would at least enquire about is Mario Gotze, Bayern & Dortmund both teams that press & he would know the system & be able to impact this season. Now I know you will be thinking Gotze..no chance & maybe so however in the summer Bayern offered him in exchange to Dortmund for Gundogan, so they were willing to let him go & they have Vidal, Muller & Thiago in his position already.
Add-in he has only a year & a half left on his contract, They paid 25ml for him.. now with his contract running down if they got that back & a January premium of doing deals.. I'd guess if they were offered 30ml they would snatch your hand off & would it make more sense to invest 25ml in Berahino or 30 on Gotze..easy decision for me of which would send out a message of intent & who would benefit the team more.
Ok he's not a striker however I think the solution might already be in our ranks there.. Alli he's got the movement he can play in others & if Kane got injured we might not have an out & out striker to replace him & it might need for us to play 2 upfront Alli & Son/Gotze I'd be ok with until the summer. The PL IS Draw, been based in London is a draw, the way we have outplayed every other PL team is a draw, inside our wage budget, The worse that could happen is he turns us down.. fine.. at least show the ambition to go for it.
If we get turned down I'd look at Sergi Samper instead, I look at the runs Alli, Kane & Son are making in behind backlines & think a Gotze/Samper would pick them out, before we scored against West Ham there were opportunities to play passes in behind them, the runs were been made just not been spotted, same against Chelsea Son was making the runs just not been spotted, we still need to add another player who can kill a team with a pass.

Yes I'd agree. We've done well so far but we've had some tricky fixtures to navigate including Europa League, and in quick succession as well.
That's why these next 11 games are so important because we need a healthy rate of wins to supplement the good start we've had.
We really want to be winning 8 or 9 of the next 11, too many draws from this group of fixtures would definitely slow us up too much. I expect us to go on a strong run though and think we should be aiming for a minimum of 25 points plus.

I do worry that our unbeaten run slightly glosses over the amount of draws we have.
Quite a few of the draws should have been wins too.
We're looking good and have a bloody good chance this season, of top four but I'm trying hard to temper my expectations, as it's too easy to get carried away.

As about a thousand of you have already said, a back up striker for Kane is essential. I hope Levy sees this as the chance for a really credible assault on a high league position and backs Poch by sticking his hand in his pocket and getting in a couple of very decent player - striker and CD cover (and ones that Poch actually wants). As someone has mentioned this is one of the best opportunities we have had for a while in terms of breaking into the higher echelons of the league, so I hope we don't f**k it up with Levy and his last minute deadline day negotiations.

Win the next five league matches (more than doable if you look at our fixtures) and we should be comfortably top at the halfway point.

The first eleven and in particular the spine is playing really well and I'm proud of our recent performances.
As to whether Wimmer, Bentaleb or whoever might step up for kane are good enough only time will tell. I still think we will have a tough time fending off chelsea and liverpool particularly when changes are forced.
Will the board reinforce the squad with quality in January? No.

If we stay unbeaten through December, then I can't see anything other than a Top 4 finish. April's tough? Well fuck April, we can beat any team any where as far as I"m concerned. This is a big chance and I am usually quite a reasonable supporter, but I think we're going to destroy everything around us over Christmas.
