To make it a bit lively here:

Not a bad german source (www.kicker.de) reports Madrid is interested to loan Nuri Sahin for a year. Interested are we and malaga.

Part of the Modric deal probably?

It actually works, but does seem laborous.

You could either say "We (or maybe ourselves) and Malaga are interested" or "interested clubs include us (ourselves) and Malaga"

Hope that helps

I would totally take Sahin for a year. The hope is that he loves it and stays. Worth the chance. And he's better and younger than Moutinho.

Would be strange to loan him to another team in La Liga's top four in Malaga, a potential rival if they bring in a couple of top players but then again City gave us Adebayor so, I guess it could happen.

would definitely prefer:

25/30m + sahin for modric

rather than

40/45m cash and then spending 25 of it on moutinho straight away

Yeah 25/30m + sahin for modric and spend that 25/30 on Jovetic. Oh well, I can dream.

Would make good sense actually. realistically it's Real vs. Barca for the title. If on loan at malaga he couldn't play against Real but would increase there chances of making Barca drop points..

Keep hearing reports that Levy wants straight cash and not Sahin in exchang plus cash. I would like to know how open Madrid are to getting rid of him, whether the player wants the move and whether levy and AVB really want him or not

Logic would say yes, not really and yes but the not really could easily change to a yes

If Levy and AVB aren't interested in him, then, wow. I'd agree that Sahin not ending up at Spurs would likely be down to Sahin and not DL or AVB. I hope so anyway. A very good player and an excellent CM. One of the very best young CMs, if not the best, in yoorup.

I think a deal involving money + Sahin makes the most sense for both parties. Sahin is a quality young talent that can fill the hole of a departing Modric. And if the financials remain to be a holdup for Real, easing that burden by throwing in Sahin helps Real get to the mark they want. I think both parties win in this case; Tottenham sells off a guy who doesn't want to be around and they get top money + a top young talent and Real gets their man at a price they can live with. I'm a huge advocate for this type of deal, but that's also because I was a huge fan of Sahin during his time at Borussia Dortmund and I'd love love love to see him in a Spurs shirt.

If I really want to get carried away:

Modric to Real for 25m + Sahin... and then turn that money around and go right for Robert Lewandowski and reunite Sahin and Lewandowski:

Nuri Sahin's nickname for Lewandowski was "the body". "He's got an incredibly muscular body that astonished the whole squad," explained the former BVB star. In order for Lewandowski's teammates not to be the only ones exposed to the 23-year-old's water board stomach, he also decided to post a picture of himself looking very proud on his Facebook page. At the very least it proves to anyone that has seen the evidence that Dortmund's number 9 is more than worthy of the nickname given to him by his former colleague.

Been hearing rumours that United have bid 20m for Sahin, I'd expect that's about how much we'll have to knock off Modric's price to get him. So it might be more like 15-20m + Sahin. But if Moutinho's price stays where it is, I'd say that's still a great deal.

I hadn't heard that. If that were the case, I still would be fine with 20m + Sahin. I think it makes sense still. 20m can still go a long way in adding talent to the squad, especially with possibly more players leaving THFC on transfers (Pienaar and possibly VdV).

Haven't seen anything about Utd's interest, though Arsenal have been linked recently, and Inter have been strongly linked

Would much rather £25m + Sahin, then a straight £35m fee, and the majority of that going on Moutinho
