Would be absolute madness to sell Mata. Chelsea becoming more and more like a shit version of Real Madrid every year, with the constant changing of managers etc. Selling Mata stinks of Real flogging off Sneijder and Robben only for both to become one of the key players in a CL-winning side.

Maybe the above two things in bold are linked. You'd have to assume that Jose's experiences at Real have made him aware of the power of the dressing room. Mata strikes me as a pleasant, professional chap but is he going to be viewed by Jose as one of AVB's/RDM's/ Rafa's rather than one of Mourinho's boys?

I really don't think that Chelsea needs much tinkering to be a title contender. Now Oscar and Hazard have settled in. I think he needs to get his back 4 sorted out, but apart from that Chelsea have the squad to win the league IMO. They have the most creative attack in the league.

Yep, it took them a bit of time to settle, but they are league contenders easily. The worst thing they could do is unsteady the ship by buying loads more players.

Honda is on a free transfer but apparently they want gio to replace Feghouli, perhaps Honda could replace Piatti if the rumours are true
Word is banega will b flogged to an Italian side, there fed up of his drinking so want Honda on pre-contract to join in January, I'd love banega at spurs even with his drinking he always delivers on pitch, gazza bryan robson Paul mcgrath & Ledley all drank but delivered on pitch which is what matters really,
One other bit news is David Silva will probably leave City ( not happy wants return to Spain) more than likely to real Madrid which would b good news regarding Bale, Isco going to real as well supposedly

I'd be amazed if the Shakhtar player joined Liverpool, what a nightmare that club is to deal with. No need for the money, the only reasons to sell are if the player wants to go or they have signed someone better (maybe Wellington Nem or Fernando count as better?)
Griezmann is very good, it would be a shame if he goes to Arsenal.[/quote]
25ml euro apparently, He wants a move to London but nobody has bitten because of his ridiculous wage demands, shakter looking at hernanes from lazio city & Milan also after hernanes, I can't see Mkkhitayan joining lvpool unless they really start to panic but player definately wants out of shakter

I cant see them both signing for Madrid (Isco and Silva). Especially since they are giving Ozil a renewal. I suspect that one may end up at city. I also think City will look at Carzola.

Watch Milner end up with us now that City have got Fernandinho.....
Having been based in Ukraine with Shaktar, you can't even question if he can do it on a cold Tuesday in December!

It's an interesting one with Chelsea, no doubt the last 2 seasons they have underachieved in the league but they're an odd side to me when I see them - they have some wonderful individual talent in the 3 in their 4-2-3-1, but they seem a little bit of a broken side. Whilst those 3 can be wonderfully fluid, the 2 (Mikel / Lampard / Ramires ) never seem to have found a really natural fit for me. A team that boasts Mata / Oscar / Hazard should really be blowing us away with beautiful football week in week out, but they seem more functional than fluent. I think this is because they have plenty of No10s and wide creative types but haven't (like us) got that tempo setting CM that provides the link between the 3rds. Abramovich bought Mata / Hazard / Oscar / Moses / Marin so he could not just win but win beautifully, but it was never balanced enough to do that all over the pitch.

The squad though does seem ripe for Jose, because he will mould a winning team out of that squad no doubt - I do wonder if he'll play the 4-3-3 he used to or stick with the 4-2-3-1 he used at Real Madrid, which to me seems a more natural fit for the squad, although I would imagine he might go get another CM to play in the 2.

I do think our chance of a top 4 finish has been narrowed down to 1 slot now with Jose's return, although I am looking forward to having him back in the EPL despite this, and with Utd and City bringing in new managers I think we could have a really exciting 3 way title race on our hands. AVB will also look forward to trying to get one over on Mourinho, where I believe there has been some acrimony since they went separate ways. Looking forward to next season already.

Finally the one I nearly fainted when I heard Southampton are trying to sign Eric lamela, Cortese wanted assurances over transfer budget or he'd stand down as chairman, he got it & are willing to pay 20ml + for lamela, he's got really complex ownership rights along with qualifying for visa issues so would b a really hard deal to do

WTF?! If Lamela is for sale I'd have him top of my list, but it's a big if
