I say Bale should get a shot at LW, with Lee or Gilberto or someone else on the left. Pederson is crap. If Bale stays at LB then I wouldn't mind seeing Capel or Adriano at LW...or perhaps someone else? Surely Wendy's got some ideas...

I put out Tranquillo Barnetta as a name. Sat down to watch Frankfurt and Bayer play today and he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Some of the worse distribution I can remember, by the the whole of BL, but especially Tranquillo. Talk about bad timing of a suggestion.

Realistically, on the left side we have Bale and new man Gilberto who can play LW and LB. We also have Steed who has done pretty well as LM this season. O'Hara can play there. At LB we still have Lee and Ekotto, but I doubt they will both be here next season. So depending on who stays and who goes, and how well Gilberto adapts, it may not be a priority position to fill. It would be nice to have another player for the right side, though. Lennon can be great, but there is little cover and it would be nice to have another player who can really run at the opposition FB's.

I personally think that Gilberto has been brought in for LB cover only. Going by the games I have seen him in, he seems very slow (Andy Reid slow). So him playing LM is a no no IMO.

Maybe he hasn't worn in his new boots yet? I think that once Bale is fit our left side could be stronger than our right, but like I said, it depends on who leaves and on how Gilberto settles.
I didn't take into account Taarabt or Rose, but they could both make appearances next season, and if that happens there is every chance that one or both could become a huge success (or totally bomb).

I'm not sure who I want actually. The more I watch a team like Man United or Chelsea, they seem built to play a certain way in a certain system. I'm not entirely clear on Ramos' vision for Spurs and so its hard to recommend anyone. I'd like us to build a good team, instead of buying indiviuals. I feel like currently Spurs have no real identity, mainly because our midfield, who I think gives a team an indentity, is all over the place. I'm very interested to see how this Summer plays out because I have a feeling Ramos has some sort of vision for the football he wants to play and I think he wants to overhaul our midfield.

I'd prefer to see Bale at left back and a new shiny winger bought in!

In the risk of much verbal abuse how about Duff as could be good again with decent coaching?
