remember we didn't have a signing until august just before season started, such a fuck up from Levy
I thought it was widely accepted this was a tactic so as not to be gazumped by the money clubs when we showed interest in a player...because lets face it, that's exactly what happens when we show early interest in a player.

we need to accept top 6th this year, we are not good enough for top 4 due to poor investment in the summer and we have no squad and the team are fucked....

Dele, Toby will be off in the summer 100% but we will get a fair bit for them so must reinvest immediately and not mess around next summer, remember we didn't have a signing until august just before season started, such a fuck up from Levy

This old chesnut. You're always stating certain players will, "100%" be off. Wasn't long ago you were saying Poch would walk last summer. Last season you kept banging on about Lloris "100% leaving in the summer".

We are miles away on the pitch vs the top 5 at the moment. Can't see us finishing above Any of them now.

This is so ridiculous. We're just going through a bad patch. It's happened to most of the other teams in the top 6. Nothing to start crying yourself to sleep about. To insinuate that the teams above us will not lose any form throughout the rest of the season and that we won't recover form is a idiotic statement in itself.

Did I say that anywhere?

Funny, despite the other teams having had bad patches we still didn't pull away from them before our recent poor run.

We look a poor side now, and I don't see us recovering sufficiently at the moment, no only have we given ourselves plenty to do due to the points gap, the gulf in performances is much larger.

You reckon the other teams in the top 6 will go 4 games without a win, in the rest of the games that they'll play in this season?

I wouldn't bet on that.

They might not have a bad run of 4/5 games but we’re only 4 points off the top 4 so we’re not miles away. Let’s see how tables looks on January 1st. We weren’t in the top 4 this time last year either

hahaha not really mate. We're 4 points off 4th with over half the season still to go. It's hardly worth some of the hyperbolic nonsense i've read on here today

There's hyperbolic nonsense the other way too. The whole club isn't going to collapse in the way some say but we are definitely in the middle of Pochs most troubling period since he took over. Something doesn't feel right. There's a lot of players at the club right now, some more visibly than others (Rose), that I just really feel their head isn't in Spurs mode right now. That connection from players to fans that was so strong last two years has gone for me right now. Sometimes you can just sense something.

Players come and go but I really felt like we had a group of players along with Poch who could grow together, to me it just feels like only a matter of time before others are sold. That way of working of losing players a manager doesn't want to lose just doesn't wreak of long term success. It doesn't inspire me of us ever achieving anything and maybe certain players feel the same as me.

It might turn out ok but this denial of anything negative and unwavering faith everything is gonna be ok from some is weird.

This might be one of those threads we look back at in May and laugh at how we were shitting ourselves over a 4 game winless streak. Let's be honest we were never going to get anywhere near last season considering we're playing at Wembley. Man City are on course for 100+ points anyway the rate they are going, there's no stopping that even if we had our best ever season. I still think we'll find our mojo again soon, we need to rest everyone we possible can against APOEL, Poch needs his head checking if he plays any of our key players.

It's not weird, it's just that some people don't see it as anything other than bad form.

I get that and there's a possibility it is just form that'll turn around and things will be fine. I can accept that. However there's a flat out refusal that anythings wrong and anyone who raises questions (not hyperbolic ones) or feels something isn't right is having a meltdown or crying or basically being an idiot. I find that weird.

Definitely not Poch's most troubling period by any means, we won 2 in 10 or something during his first season and got battered by City and Liverpool during that run, loads of home losses to crap teams as well. I don't think we'll lose anyone we don't want to except maybe Alderweireld. We've got 2 home games against Stoke and Brighton coming up, win both of those and we'll be back on track.

Those came at beginning when he'd inherited a mess and was at start of process to make us challengers. This is occurring when we've meant to become something else, pushed on and grown as a team. It's worst period for me.
Winning those two is a must but needs more than that before I see us back on track.

Basically we’re one point off where we were at this stage last year, and we’re playing at Wembley, had Wanyama out all season, Rose only just Back, Walker gone and Toby out until 2018. Not forgetting we played 35 mins with ten men and didn’t concede.
