Did he actually say a single thing of note in that entire video?

I think it's spot on, as Nevin says there's a lot of noise around the likes of Alli and Kane and even players like Dembele, but very quietly Eriksen is the hub of our team. Sees shitloads of ball (averaging just about the same as our CM's do), second most assists in the league, and even I was surprised to see he covers more ground than anyone else in the league - and with Eriksen - as the afore mentioned stats back up - you know it's not just aimless running around like a headless chicken.

Absolutely.
If he looked like Victor Wanyama
instead of Little Boy Lost
he'd be the Spurs Legend's Legend already.
You have to see through the disguise.
It fools the opposition too.

There's plenty of people on here who think he does fuck all, so yeah, if it gets through to one or two of them that he's actually a very important player for us. Then yes, he said one or two things of note in the video.

I thought it was quite insightful, and much more interesting than the usual cliched crap pundits invariably come out with.

You only have to see the difference it makes when he has an off game. We struggle to create in the final third. An unsung hero even for some fans.

Its incredible how many Spurs fans still want eriksen replaced or can't see what he brings to us. The assists etc and the goals be scores are often in big games too, almost the exact opposite to Ozil

Eriksen is really our best creative outlet. he links up almost everyone in the team, when he plays well the team plays well.

I rather we keep quiet about him. Let the others take the limelight.

I don't think Nevon actually gave any relevant examples. He just had graphics of when he was in a good position and scored or assisted. TBH you could do that with most players.

So BC is Pat Nevin...

Who knew!? ;)

In all seriousness though, it's there for those with the eyes to see it, Eriksen really is our fulcrum. It doesn't surprise me that he covers the most ground in the Prem either, he's everywhere and is probably one of the fittest in the game.

You rarely see him injured either...

I hope I haven't jinxed the lad now.

I think he's pretty much our only creative outlet.
Ain't that bad. I think Dier does well with long balls from defence, and Rose and Walker does a good job on the flanks. But Eriksen is always key to open up the defense.

I'm increasingly concerned that Lamela isn't coming back. Whatever has been wrong with him doesn't appear to be resolving itself, and when it does he's going to take a long time to get back up to speed.

Poch said he's on his way back so let's see.

Yeah, if Eriksen's off form, we're functional at best.
He's the one player that we don't have a like-for-like replacement for (though I'm becoming ever more aware that what Davies offers is very different to Rose).
