Dont know if anyone saw him last night on sky sports news first word, I just happened to switch it on while i was having tea and he actually had some good things to say about spurs and redknapp:eek:mg:

They were on about bales performance against inter, they asked him if spurs fans should be annoyed that peolpe were saying he was too good for spurs and he said yes cos spurs are a very good team.

Also when asked if bale should leave for one of the giants of europe he said his advice to bale would be to stay at spurs, as long as redknapp is at spurs only good things can happen cos he is a top top manager.

Very refreshing to have a pundit (especially an ex scum one) say good things about spurs!

Same the same cant be said for that t**t Alan Smith, he should be banned from commentating on spurs games he is a complete c**t!!

That's nice to see, I missed it but wish I hadn't, Merson isn't so bad, he comes across less bitter about the modern game than others and seems to have a lot of respect for his peers.

On Bale: He is arguably to good for Spurs, he'd walk into any squad in the world right now, the other players on his level are VDV and Gomes. King if he didn't have his injury problems. We do have a massively strong squad though full of players just below that level, which makes us hugely competitive.

On Alan Smith: I swear it's a wind up, making him do our games, someone at Sky Sports is an Arsenal fan..

I don't admit this often but Merson is actually my fav Sky pundit these days. You could argue thats by default as the others are all pr*cks.

But unlike the others he talks about the game in current terms rather than applying logic which became outdated a decade ago and doesn't appear to have a chip on his shoulder about Spurs, unlike most of the others. Must admit when he started at Sky he talked utter shit though.

Even midweek at 4-0 down, he didn't really have a go when I flicked over to SSN at half time in our game.

Just said how Harry would hate being in that position and that there was no shame losing at the home of the European Champions after going down to 10 men.

I was surprised.

I was just about to post the same thing...seems to be saying good things about us this season which makes a change from those other doughnuts on Sky

But then again, he does coin his own cockney rhyming slang on SSN - 'he's hit the beans on toast'. He's a bit of a numpty, but harmless.

You're bang on the money regarding Smith. He never, ever has a good word to say about Spurs. His dull style is complimented by his awful Brummie accent that makes him as appealing as suppository stuffed up your arse.

I expect he'll be on today commentating on the Everton match. He'll say great things about Everton and how lucky Spurs are.

I think merson has mellowed. Him, Dixon and Wright are fair and will tell it as it is. Twats like Winterburn and Sansom are a waste of space. As for Smith, not sure he it that bad tbh but i stand to be corrected.

I quite like Merson.
I hate Alan Smith and today in the telegraph he's produced his tactical genius to show how Everton are going to stop Bale.
Every week it's a truly laughable article from him.

Merson is too much of a dumb arse to be spiteful. He says things how he see's them and thats fine. Dixon too is fair and quite articulate but the rest are resentful idiots!

I've noticed that Merson is saying more and more good things about Spurs, ever since Redknapp took over.

Merson actually saying something positive and constructive about spurs? Really???

Fair play to the man in that case. He's usually as one-sided as that slime ball Smith, but those comments are very generous.

Cheers Merson you coked up gooner drunkard

Yeh he says it as he is, alan shearer is another pundit i rate, i hated him as a player but think he is a great pundit.

Smith should be sacked off i really dont like the guy, manytimes after games ive seriosly thought about complaining to sky but it would be pointless nothing would get done, we should set up a campaign to get him off spurs games!!
