I'm now desperately trying to think of reasons why a Norwegian paper would make things up about Robbo being injured.

My opening gambit is that they must have shares in McVities and the news that Robbo is injured would lead the public to think that his sitting on his arse at home would result in a massive rise in Jaffa Cake sales.

If it helps, I make up little bits and pieces like that which find their way into print all the time. I assume the journo has no direct link to these boards or other ways of knowing exactly what the latest skinny is on Robbo's future. Hence he has gone with a convenient (and plausible) line that he believes should be correct. I call it 'being a little lazy and misinformed but not quite having the time to check all your facts so going with the most likely excuse for something according to the facts at your disposal'.

I'm working on making that title a little snappier.

My view is you are getting a top class keeper whom i am sad to see go.All he needs is a bit of coaching,top fella too.

I think you will find most people here are Robbo fans. Many of us will be happy to see his backside as his form for 2 years has been shit. But you're right, his confidence has been shattered (most likely from England duty) and he can and should rebuild his reputation at a new club. If Incey as good a manager as many expect, this may well be regarded as a bargain of epic proportions in 2 years time. But there is no way he was ever going to regain his form with us.
