Jimmy Greaves, what can I say? Gifted, talented, natural born goal scorer. An amazing talent and would have been a success in any era of football. World class. European Cup Winner, FA Cup winner, leading Division One scorer etc etc.

Steve Perryman. Most appearances for Spurs. League Cup in 1971, UEFA Cup in 1972 and League Cup again in 1973 before leading the team to the FA Cup in 1981 and 1982 and UEFA Cup in 1984. Captain courageous and the epitome of hard work and discipline.

Both key players for Bill Nick. Perryman continued that under Burkinshaw. Inducted into the Spurs Hall of Fame.

Well deserved gentlemen! We salute you!

Jimmy could not attend but some of Spurs royalty turned up - Alan Gilzean, Phil Beal, Pat Jennings and Martin Chivers joined by Greavsie's two sons, Andy and Danny plus grandson James.

Plus a host of Stevie's mates - Glenn Hoddle, John Pratt, Micky Hazard, John Lacy, Mark Falco, Paul and Clive Allen, Paul Miller, Graham Roberts, Ossie Ardiles and Keith Burkinshaw. Must have been a great night!

I've got a facsimile of Jimmy's original contract with Tottenham. Would love to post it on here but no idea how. I have a pdf version on my iMac. Can anyone help? You're talking to a techno-idiot so simple words please.

Greaves and perryman are regularly rated in the Top 10 best spurs players in many many lists that ive seen, with Greaves always hovering aroind the Top 3. Its amazing how only now they are inducted.

Can't believe it's taken this long

I seem to remember hearing they were both long-time holdouts because of where the money goes (or at least was going) for the event, anyone else know more?

How the fuck Perryman wasn't one of the first to be inducted is an absolute travesty.

A giant in terms if our history. I think he has won more at Spurs then any other player. No coincidence that he was a key member of both the Bill Nick side from the early 70's and Keith Burkinshaw's revamped Spurs in the 80's - both of which reeled in trophies galore.

Me too. Especially considering Steffen Freund is in the hall of fame. Now I know that Freund was a fan favorite but lets be honest, he isn't fit to clean the boots of Perryman and Greaves in terms of his standing at the club when compared to these two recenr inductees.
