I read something from a guy at Monaco saying they are based on thigns like him winning the Ballon D'Or. They are add-ons, not staged payments, as Levy would say.

Come on mate it was crazy money for a lad who at that time had only played 5 full games. Of course it had to be mocked. The crazy ones are the people who thought it was good business. It wasn't and still isn't. He's having a purple patch atm, but lets see how he's doing by the end of the season before going gaga. Overall I Haven't really been massively impressed by him, but he is putting away his chances.

It's not just that he's taking his chances, he ran through the entire Liverpool defence for his first goal, in his home debut against the club's biggest rivals. The confidence, ability and composure to place the finish when he'd got one-on-one with the keeper, was world class. That goal was something Messi would have been proud of.

Winning 10 caps for France - €10m (had 0 when he signed)

Exactly. People seem to think I'm saying Martial's a bad player, I'm not, I've only seen him play 2 games, which is far too early to judge. He could become the greatest player the world has ever seen,I don't know, but 50 million pounds for a 19 year old with 5 full games is an awful deal.
