Certain players just fit in at certain clubs. If this guy has the credentials that fit the style of football that Poch is working on then he could be great. How often have we seen a player who looks like nothing special join a club and prove to be a great signing? I've seen these type of players join clubs like Everton and nobody has made a fuss. Several months later they end up playing great and everyone starts moaning and asking why we weren't in for him.

This window has been a complete turnaround from last summer where we signed big names who disappointed. Now we've signed players who don't have that high expectation and pressure from the fans. Who knows, this could prove a better window.

I can't get that excited, a bit like I never can with defensive midfielders or holding midfielders. I thought we had the likes of Sandro, Capoue, Bentaleb to all that sort of stuff. Another midfielder signing to protect our poor defence, let's hope it works

If he can give us what Parker gave in his first season then it's not bad. Capoue is too tranquilised to be a defensive midfield. Maybe this will free him up to be more involved in attacking play

Well, I have no idea what Stambouli is like as a player, so I'm going to keep an open mind on him. No, he's not Schneiderlin by the sounds of it, but it's a new signing with some potential. I hope he settles well, and we have a few French/French speaking players that will help him do so. Good luck Benji (you're gonna need it with this crowd)!
