I wouldn’t be surprised if Conte plays Perisic as part of a front three ahead of him.
This is just becoming all too common already. I'm trying to accept Conte just has his preference to players in order of availability now. No way we can expect him to do so differently unless we are dead certain to lose comes 70th minute or to win comes the 85th. Call it favouritism or biasness, I hope it will all be for the positive in long run..

I think he will get chances.
I don't think we can write him off or consider him badly managed if he fails to play enough games this season.
He is only 21 and came to a new country, a tough league and a team with better players than himself.

We need patience. We didn't buy him because he would immediately impact the first team. We bought him because he has a high ceiling, Lamela's getting old and injury-prone, and unlikely to make it into the first team. Essentially we bought an 'opportunity' and swapped away an old/used car, so that was going to be costly.

I still feel positive about the deal. At the very least, we treated Lamela the way he deserves to be treated. This cannot be taken for granted (just look at CR7 rotting on Man U's bench) and players will take note.

Your comments are calm and logical. I wonder if Bryan sees things the same way and is prepared to wait for his chance, which may or may not ever come. Remember, he's not one of Conte's signings, and neither was Sarr.

I think this is where the right sort of personality and maturing matters.

If you think from Conte's boots then it make sense that he plays recognied senior players consistently. His job isn't to 'develop young players', it is to pick a team that would most likely win a game, so the only reason he would pick an unproven player is for fitness reasons. If Perisic or whoever is LW stays fit, then his likely chance of playing is when a win is already secured, and that's not going to come very often.

I think Gil would jump at any chance to play senior football, so I expect loan moves. I don't think he will move perm to another club unless and until he gets told that he has no short term future with us.

What's he going to do in 10 minutes that the rest of the team can't do?

Tried to hard which is understandable but put himself about and had a nice bit in near the corner flag

Would be harsh to blame him for not achieving what the rest of the team couldn't. Work rate shows he's determined to prove something which is good to see.

Just a very very strange buy all round. Doesn't really have anything about him that makes you think he could be a hit in the PL

It didn’t help that he was played on the right. His best moment was when he stopped the ball from going out and then accelerated down the left, drawing a foul.

He’s a left winger/wide left forward, play him in his natural position.

Show he can go shoulder to shoulder at least.

I’ve been hoping Gill would get a chance, but on tonight’s showing you’d have to agree Conte is bang on about lacking the physical strength to compete.

Unfortunately he spent most of his cameo on his arse.
