For me he needs to get a good loan for the 2nd half of the season. If he can make a statement with his performances then there maybe a dangerous weapon to deploy for next season

Just 6 minutes of PL football all season.

Zero starts in the Premier League or Champions League across either season.

Only featured for more than 20 minutes in a match twice under Conte - against Morecambe and NS Mura - in both cases substituted early in the second half with the team losing.

Even with no Son or Richarlison, and with Lucas and Kulusevski only fit to make late cameos - he still can't get onto the pitch.

And correct me if I've forgotten something - but I don't think there is anyone on this forum that's scored less goals or made less assists for Tottenham than he has.

Is he a bad player? He's clearly got some ability and may well flourish elsewhere. But for £25m + a first team player - this has been a disaster of a signing.
Totally agree with the overall post. As you wanted to be corrected I can confirm that he has 1 assist, which he got in the home game against Pacos Ferreira where he played really well, albeit versus a really poor opponent.

Problem is he went on loan last season yoo and was dropped after a while. He ended up with 1 assist I think. I do think he’s a player we just need to move on. Look at other youngsters in the prem who as younger than him… martinelli, garnacho etc and then talent that others are looking at like murdyk we need to be signing talent like that.

Why can all our players hit free-kicks when not in match situations at Tottenham? They'll do it in training and international games, but playing an actual match for this club? In the wall or high and wide..

But that's exactly what he did with his loan spell last season...

He ended up dropped in his last loan spell and got like 1 assist
He was excellent for them! Maybe the stats don't show it but he played almost every game and they were very keen to get him back either permanently or on loan but they didn't have a buy option. The fans loved him too.

Utterly stupid to sell him. What will happen is we’ll do it because Conte will never rate him, Conte will leave, and he’ll end up shining and in the Spain team for the next Euros.

Let's wait and see before we get too worried.

We don't know how Conte rates him, apart from what he's said, that he thinks he needs to grow for this league.
I very much doubt Mallorca will be able to afford him anyway but a loan could do him good.

This is just one report from god knows what kind of source, so let's not start just yet.

I haven't been going there for a few years so that may help explain that ? ?

Liking that boy.
Good value for money
never gives up
and fun to watch.
Good interchange with Doherty

Not sure he's going to make it.
But it won't be for lack of effort

Did he though? How many goals and assists did he get in La Liga? 17 appearances and zero goals.
I wouldn't use this as any kind of barometer of success with young players. Lamela scored 17 in 177 league games for us and yet some worship him for his other qualities. Valencia aren't the most attacking team these days so I wouldn't expect anyone to clock up great numbers in that team. Obviously you'd like him to get a couple, but the fact that the fans liked him and the club wanted him back says more for me. Plus it's hard to get going for a new team in the middle of a season when he'd barely played football in half a year. If he stayed there this season I think he'd have really raised his levels.

I doubt he will shine in England though. He'll more likely shine in Spain but we'll never know if he would have done it in England. I have my doubts personally but would like to see him make it just because I love his style of play. I can't help but feel the Kulusevski signing overshadowed Gil , similar age of player but a far bigger instant impact on the first team and the physicality for the league. If we get some sort of sell on and end up making back the money that covers the cost of Kulusevski it could be very smart.
