I like these comments from Kane and it is what we all see.

'When he [Eriksen] came on he dictated the pace and it was perfect. I can make my movements off that.'

This is what CE brings to us in a nutshell and what no other player we have can do.

I know what you're saying but I doubt there's many footballers that are going to come right out and say it's about money. It's not a good look so they end up saying something like their ambitions lie elsewhere.

If it was about money - why wouldnt he just let his contract run down rather than look for a move this summer? I dont think it is 100% about money I genuinely think he wants to experience different cultures etc... Madrid is a great city.

There's an argument to say that he may be doing just that. Who says he hasn't got a word of mouth agreement with Madrid to run his contract down and go there on a free. Anyway, I'm not trying to turn it into a conspiracy theory, I just hope we offered him parity with Kane. I just wouldn't want him to be leaving because we're not being realistic about his worth.

His worth to us is far great than what we will get IF he is sold this summer. The question is would that 40m be worth it? It is a fair bit of money to a club of our size and can utilise it for someone in January.

My feeling is CE will sign a contract with a big signing bonus but may well leave next summer... then again really depends who will be next RM Manager...

It'll be interesting to see where it all goes that's for sure. ;)

Really looking forward to her from all the body language experts on SC... got to say. If he still doesn’t care that was some performance

Look at him nonchalantly yet caringly fixing the corner flag

I thought he was taking it off to keep as a souvenir before leaving for Madrid.

Superb today, if he's looking to leave he's shown yet again what a professional he is with that performance.

He looked well up for it when he came on today.

He was demanding the ball and zipped it around nicely.

Just a perfect illustration of this team without Eriksen. In a nutshell, a far worse one.

Hopefully a nod to all of those saying we won’t really miss him because he wasn’t as good last season. Absolute bollocks.

Do whatever it takes to persuade him to stay.

Was he difference when he came on. Too bad he won’t sign a new contract as he is so important to us

The ‘But he can’t beat the first man‘ brigade when Eriksen comes on and changes the game:

Hope everyone who has complained about Eriksen's lack of commitment and eyes towards Madrid etc have been just as damning about Poch. Poch himself should also bear this in mind given how public he has been in being prepared to walk away / try something new. I think he does in most cases to his credit but there are rumours of him being fairly brutal towards players who show a lack of commitment e.g. Kyle Walker.

We were crap today until Eriksen came on. He lit up the game for us. Why throw 200k/week and 60m at Dybala if you can probably pay Eriksen 200k and a 15-20m signing bonus? Last season he played a stupid number of games: with Winks, Lo Celso and Ndombele to share the load he could really make it happen for us in the next few years.
@DL: please God, pay him to stay

Every bit of ITK and info we've had this summer says it's not about the money - he's had a good contract waiting for him a long time. He's just ambitious, and wants a Real Madrid move, no matter how much money we throw at him.

Hopefully, their fucking around this summer, and our strengthening, gets him to sign a new contract with us - now we've shown ambition, too.

Yes, but the ITKs also suggest he's been offered the obvious answer: a contract renewal with a release clause for his "dream clubs" and yet still no signature, suggesting he wants something different ti what he's saying (which usually means: $$$s)

Might be true, but I guess he knows and everyone knows that a new contract now will mean he will cost more, and as a direct consequence, it will reduce the chance for a move to Real now.
