Yes, but the ITKs also suggest he's been offered the obvious answer: a contract renewal with a release clause for his "dream clubs" and yet still no signature, suggesting he wants something different ti what he's saying (which usually means: $$$s)
But if it was all about money he would have went to United but turned them down. I think he legitimately wants a change of scenery in a new league, location.

He only wants 1 city. 1 club in particular. They just dont really want him.

That said, please sign back up here, Christian

It seems he told Levy a few years ago that he would not go to another English team. He seems to be a man of his word and ManU never had a chance. Would love for him to stay if only for this year. He is competitive and will perform as long as he is wearing the badge. He is honoring the contract he signed with us, no ill feelings on my part as long as he does that.

I know Levy won't feel the same way, but personally I'd rather lose him on a free at the end of this year than sell him now. Honestly, he alone could be worth more in staying for this season than what we might get for him as a transfer fee anyway.

With the amount of corners we lofted into the mixer instead of going fotr a first post routine, everyone should be absolutely buzzing today...

I do wonder whether this is something the club weigh up or not.

We must of already, but I think Poch needs to sit down with him and say, look, you’ll be on the bench until you let us know your intentions, force him into either sorting a transfer ASAP (we don’t want this), let us know if you’re going to wind down your contract and leave on a free (frustrating but we keep him) or sign the new contract.

Yesterday showed that we need this decided one way or another ASAP. Poch was right to bench him though and although this won’t be popular, I’d bench him again against Man City. Until his future is properly decided and he shows his commitment through making that decision then he shouldn’t be allowed to start games. If Poch does it undermines the other players.

We'd be mad to sell him this summer, even if he explicitly came out and told us that he intended to play his current contract out and leave on a free transfer next year.

If he stays this year, then IMO we are nailed on for the top 4 and likely to be in 3rd place or above at the end of the season.

If he goes now, we might well still end up in the top 4 (albeit we certainly won't be in the top 2), but it will be a fight rather a certainty.

Trix posted yesterday that if he doesn’t sign a new contract, he’ll be sold- too much money to lose.

I pray he signs a new contract; playing in a team with Ndombele and GLC will give him more freedom as teams can’t just target him to be heavily marked with other creatives around. This could potentially be his best season for us.

I try to rationalise it in my head- Eriksen staying. He signs, has a cracking season and Levy agrees to let him go in a year or two content in the knowledge a suitor would have to pay good money to get him out of his long term contract.

Then, I reflect that that scenario only benefits us- he could see out his contract and get recruited by Madrid next summer for nothing comparatively speaking.

The only way he feasibly stays is he has a change of heart because he’s intrigued and excited by our potential. But I just don’t see that happening. Everything points to him wanting to leave.

A real shame

IMO, the amount RM paid for Hazard (in the same contractual position as Eriksen) and the fact that they'll probably wait to get Eriksen for free, shows that they don't value him that much. The fact that Hazard then apparently went on a pie eating rampage highlights it even more. It all seems like a bit of a slap in the face for Eriksen but we'll have to wait and see how he views it. I think it will ultimately be a bad move if he goes for it. RM and their fans are brutal.

Looks like it’s gonna go to the end of the transfer window. If he’s still her, he’ll sign. My opinion obv.

PSG seems to be interested to sell Neymar to Real Madrid, which would they wouldn’t be able to sign someone else this window. It would probably mean that Atleti are able to sign James as well. If so, the city of Madrid is a closed possibility.

Barcelona is not interested, Juventus need to get rid of five or six players so even though Sarri would love him I don’t think it’s possible. I don’t think Inter interest him and they just bought Lukaku for loads. Napoli maybe, but we haven’t heard anything about them yet.

PSG? If they sell Neymar - maybe. But they’re more likely to go for Dybala or Coutinho.

Bayern? I’ve had the feeling all summer they will be coming in with a cheeky bid. Perisic (bad signing imo) is joining, rumours was that they were interested in Ziyech but he has signed a new contract with Ajax. Would Christian be interested in moving to Germany if he wants a lifestyle change?

Still, all of this might not happen, Real gets desperate in the last minute and he’s gone. But here’s hoping. Offer him a contract with a clause that makes it possible for him to leave for a reasonable fee to clubs in Europe, that like Toby’s end with two week to go of a window or something like that.

Real Madrid will probably make a bid of £40m or lower towards the end of the European window. In that scenario I genuinely don't think it's worth selling him for that price. A good CL run this season could generate £40m- £100m and qualification for next season is minimum £30m.

We bought him for £11m. Losing him for nothing next summer is not great but not the end of the world.

Are people still putting things in the RO? I missed this. Even though we can’t sign anyone there’s still an important couple of weeks transfer wise to get through. Would be great if this section continued to operate as it has for the majority of the summer?

We all saw what a good player he is yesterday.
We cant sell him now with the window shut and not being able to replace him. We just cant.

First ever season that have not put him in my dream team.
Even last year when not playing as well wouldnt dream of taking him out as he makes us tick, he is our conductor.
So hope he signs a new contract, even with leave caveats, and stays.
