That’s subjective, given the injuries we suffered last season and what we still managed to achieve I’d still fancy us, all a matter of opinion.

With everything the ITKs are saying at least one of GLC or BF (both with Eriksen on the move) we would be only slightly weaker whilst they adjust.

Thats fair enough tbh. I think if we signed glc and bf we would actually be far stronger unlike most.
The only bf i can see happening though is of the bitch fit kind. My levels of faith are low.

For those worried about Eriksen goes to a PL rival... at least it would a) mean he goes this window allowing us to also replace him this window and b) get us top dollar as a PL rival would definitely have to pay a premium.

I really am starting to hate this window. Eriksen messing us around I feel has played a huge part in it. Was so promising early on but now we're even being shown up by our supposedly skint neighbours.

I was hoping it was going to be our time to transition into a serious player but it's more of the same.

Hopefully things fall into place over the next few days but we'll need a bit of luck, and that's not something we can often rely on!

That would suck. Big time.

I find it hard to believe that Levy would sell him to Man U for as little as £40m though.

I'd rather take the money now than he go foe nothing next year. At least we could use that to fund a player who wants to be here and will stay beyond the year!

I can't see it happening at all, but I actually think Inter would be a good fit for him. He could light up that league and its still a top club that could challenge Juve - though Juve themselves of course would be a good fit also. He is also still young enough to have a couple of years there, and still get a move to Madrid potentially, as they don't seem too afraid to buy supreme talent at the height of their prime. I mean really the best thing would be to stay with us for another year or two with that in mind, but maybe he's burned so many bridges he's made that not an option. I really don't know what's going on in his head and what's happened behind the scenes, but I just hope it gets resolved to at least an acceptable solution for us. Not another prem team, please.

Eriksen at Man U doesn't bother me. I'd bet if they buy him it means Pogba is out. An argument can be made they're worse with Pogba out and Eriksen in than with keeping Pogba.

As long as Ole is in charge they're not a threat.

Eriksen's destination is not the main issue here. The main issue is making sure that we have 2 quality creative types coming in IF he leaves. Doesn't matter if that's to RM, or Juve, or Man U.

Hooray he's gone to RM! - oh we only brought in GLC and no one else. - BAD
Shit he's gone to Man U - doesn't matter we got GLC and Bruno, they can't compete with us anyway.

We NEED those 2 players (out of Bruno, GLC and Dybala) if he is off. Doesn't matter where he goes.

I would love to see a Venn diagram of SC posters who spent last season pillorying Eriksen, saying he was shit and contributing nothing, and posters who are saying losing him is a disaster if we only replace him with one, or losing him to a rival is a disaster.

I can’t be sure, but I’d wager the overlap would be quite large.

Also, anybody who thinks that Utd aren’t still a huge pull, regardless of current state, is delusional. In recent memory they have been the most dominant team in England for an insanely long stretch of time, and win two champions league titles while appearing in another two finals. Manchester Utd are massive, it will take well over a decade of obscurity to undo what Ferguson created.

Losing him is not disaster. Losing him for nothing is a fucking embarrassment.

Not bothered anymore if he goes as long he is replaced. I was of the impression lo Celso was coming regardless to give some much needed competition, so if it’s him in and Eriksen out only then we have gone backwards. If one of Fernandes, Dybala, or dare I say it Bale comes in as well then I think everyone will be reasonably happy. Down to you Levy...

He is a player with very few options to move to a better team (deliberately used term team rather than club) than spurs where he would start.
City & pool - neither need him as city have better options & pool play a different style
Barca - no obvious interest & short on cash
Real Madrid - obviously some interest but dont seem too keen on him & have other priorities. Doubt he would be a starter there
Atletico Madrid - have spent a lot already so not sure they would go another 50m+ although Simone would like his work ethic
Bayern - trying to replace ribery & robben and pushing for sane so unlikely to go for eriksen
Juve - selling players to balance books but would be very keen on a free next season IMO

The next few weeks will tell us a lot about him.
If he can't get a move to one of those clubs then he either signs a new with us or chooses a lesser team like Man utd or PSG.
Last option is go for free next season and he would be a more attractive option to say Real Madrid and Juve in particular but would he start for them, not too sure and he / his advisors would surely take that into consideration.

This is a career defining few weeks for him with massive decision to make.

Disagree on this, Liverpool were screaming out for a player like Eriksen to open games up for them with a pass in the games they drew and City have David Silva retiring, Eriksen would be the perfect replacement.

The window was always dependant on Eriksen. It’s how we roll.
