exactly, its a shame because otherwise i'd be well happy with signing this player. just struggle to get excited with it now, not doubting conte but could take him a season before he even starts performing well for us consistently

Not too fussed about the lack of option. If he does well then we benefit this season either way and we'll no doubt look to sign him next year, we'll have the leverage over Barca

5 in before pre-season, can’t fault it at all. Lenglet is isn’t the shiny superstar we wanted at centrehalf but he’s got ability and a point to prove, Conte tends to work his magic with those types. Looking forward to seeing if the Sevilla/pre-Bayern thumping version is still in him.
