If he's sorted with Poch we'd be foolish to move him on. No where near as bad as modric pining for chavski our biggest rival.

Most people agreed with the fundamentals of his interview that we need to spend and stop the unknown signings. Poch has given him opportunities which means he is doing the right things in training.

It's not as bad, It was far worse.

He went very public against the advice of his agent and it had a big knock on effect all over the place for the club. Modric wanted out but at least he didn't take swipes at the club in the press to do so.

He may have changed his tune a bit but ask yourself why? He doesn't have the interest from other clubs he had last Summer and is still on the same contract he was on this time last season, despite him saying how far below market value it was. Perhaps his injuries and lack of interest from the top clubs have given him a different outlook on things but lets be honest whet he did last Summer was far more damaging to the club and squad unity than Modric ever did.

Modric refused to even train for us and we fined him £80k.

He also refused to get on a plane for our pre season tour of the states.

Not that I want to drag it all up again but Modric very much took several swipes at the club including stating that he wanted to join Chelsea as they show ambition or words to that effect.

Danny publically ridiculed his own teammates, criticised our transfer strategy (despite it being the same strategy which lead to us signing him) and gave an ultimatum.

That said, if he wants to stay, Pochettino thinks he’s up to it and we don’t have a better option to sign, I would keep him. A lot of ifs though.

Maybe worse internally but to me as a fan asking publically for a move to Chelsea our biggest rivals is far worse. I don't care about Daniels feelings being hurt I care about the rivalry between clubs. It was a very dumb and unnecessary statement but most people here see an urgency to progress.

To be honest, I don't see a great deal of difference between what Rose said last year and what Poch said recently. Yeah, Rose was a lot less polished about it and didn't do it very nicely, but it essentially adds up to the same thing. He's always been Poch's pet as well hasn't he?

Modric openly pined to be sold to fucking chelsea. CHELSEA. Modric’s was worse. Way worse. Oh and Rose wasnt wrong. Id be questioning if people got an agenda against Rose if they actually think his was worse.

I didn’t say he didn’t. I was merely pointing out that Modric absolutely critisced the club publicly, something which Trix was saying he didn’t do. Both were bang out of order.

Sounds like a bloke who's realised that nobody richer than us actually wants him now.

Still pretty righteously indignant about the shite he spouted in that interview.

That’s fair enough, but he hasn’t caused any trouble since and he’s been duly brought back to Earth. If he wants to stay, water under the bridge as far as I’m concerned. He never actually said he wanted to leave either, as misguided as that interview was.

No idea why he's in the England squad to be honest. Lucky boy. Would love to see him back to his best but he's got a long, long way to go from his occasional showings this year.

He’s in the squad because he is the best option at LB. Simple as

I hope he stays - meaning Poch thinks he can recover decent, consistent form and he won't disrupt squad spirit. (If not, obviously he can fuck off.)

I don't really hold his 'sign someone I don't have to Google' remarks against him. Stupid stuff to say and no denying they soured the fan's attitude towards him but we have to be realistic: players are basically mercenaries. Team spirit and 'project's are great but very few players would accept significantly worse pay and trophy prospects out of loyalty. A few maybe e.g. Harry - but even for guys like him there are limits to how far that stretches.

All said and done, Danny could be a good to great left back option for at least the next couple of seasons. Money aside (though, assuming it's true, MU cooling their interest is significant both to him wanting to leave and us wanting to sell) I want STABILITY. We are facing major disruption with probably Dembele moving on and Toby. Let's focus on doing that as smoothly as possible. Possibly bring in another first team attacker/striker rotation option. Last thing we want is to be trying to overhaul other positions as well.

United "very close" to Juve's Alex Sandro according to Italian publication La Stampa. Wonder if that's curtains for Rose's chances at a move there

Yeah, a mate of mine who's a Utd fan and pretty up on his itk seems to think Sandros going to happen. Not that it means anything, but he seems to think they have really lost interest in Rose and he's now only considered a last resort of sorts.

Because he’s one of the biggest talents in the entire squad.

Not as if England have any better options. Bertrand has had a quietly shite season and Young’s strengths lie in his defensive attributes these days; he doesn’t look like a great option as a wing back.
