Yeh sorry I'm not buying it. Rose was fined 2 weeks wages for what he said, clearly the club was less than impressed with his actions. And rightly so, they were outrageous. Blabbing to the shittiest rag that he wanted to go and play "up north", that he was unimpressed with our signings because he had to Google them? Might has well have written a public love note to Mourinho. And all a week before we start the season? Piss the f*ck off with that shit. I will support the guy whenever he pulls on a Spurs shirt, and chant his name when I'm in the ground, but purely because it benefits the team. The guys a bell. I'll remember him for the goal against Arsenal and a great half season in 2016, but frankly he's been dead to me as a player since he gave that interview. Block away xoxox <3

I’m more in the forgiving camp than you but hard to believe this was in any way engineered other than by the frustrated ramblings in his own head and his boy Walker showing him how much £££ he was now on

Hard to imagine Poch/ Levy saying please Danny can you do an interview with the Sun right at the start of the season complaining that we haven’t signed any players and that you and the squad are not paid enough - it’s part of our grand strategy to win the league!

Don’t care what the story behind the story is. When he’s on his game he’s a joy to watch. Puts his body on the line for his team. There’s a reason manure were in for him - and I want that reason played out here at Spurs. 100% forgiven.

I agree. However, alternatively, there's surely now a reason that they're (seemingly) no longer in for him?

You should just treat him as a "hired hand". All the anger is pointless, its like getting angry at a sock. If he's good for us, keep him....we don't have to have Spurs supporters who love the club as players. They'll come, they'll go. He didn't say these things to piss you off personally, he said them to better his perceived situation. He's a bit of an idiot, so what, the boy can play. Footballers (not all) are just the "poster boys" to show how good our club is.
If Graham Roberts called our club shit....it'd break my heart cause he loves us.
If Lamela called our club shit.....I'd mow the lawn.

If he wants to stay then i want him to stay, pre-injury he was a beast.

One less position we need to shop for too.

No one forced Rose to give that interview, and it did a fair bit of damage at a critical time, so we shouldn’t just be forgiving and forgetting just because we think he is talented. If his mind is now 100% focused on Spurs, and he is giving it 100% in training, I assume we will see how things go but any further problems must mean he goes.

Yea there is that. Admittedly, he didn’t have a huge run of games between injuries to show his worth either. I do generally prefer the best version of him versus best version of Davies though

I’m sure itk at the time said that Rose did the interview off his own back against his agent’s advice. He also had a good relationship with the journalist going back so he felt it was a good thing to do at the time, which we can all agree it wasn’t. Itk also said that the rest of the squad was unhappy with him (that’s the bit I’ve never understood). Footballers aren’t the brightest though, we shouldn’t forget that.

Yeah that bit of yesterday from Hercules was really confusing tbh, I don’t know what he was implying about it being engineered by the club but it goes against everything else we’ve heard about it

I guess its because people hear different things at different points from different people.

Different things from different people is almost certainly the case. However, this is a public forum, somewhere for us all to post our opinions. As long as it's done respectfully (towards each other) and those providing info are not belittled or called into question (in the ITK thread) by other members, there should be no issues.

I'm sure everyone in here is 100% grateful for the info that those who are ITK share with us and, on the whole, they're treated with respect & people abide by the site rules when it comes to them. So Herc's little demand for people to stop voicing an opinion about Rose (if it's negative) last night was, in my opinion, out of order and uncalled for.

I hope I don't get in any trouble for this, I'm not bashing anyone, I'm not dismissing any info. I'm simply saying, just because people may post something I/we don't like reading, doesn't mean I/we can demand they shut the fuck up or else I/we will leave the site.

Sorry

I think that’s a perfectly reasonable way of putting it all.

As has been said before, different people hear different things so salt is required. At the end of the day, with such conflicting information you may just be inclined to strip it all back and take it at face value - and at face value he did a really crappy thing. Telling people to not be negative towards what he did is asking to just believe in blind faith the opposite of what has actually played out before their eyes.

Perhaps United are no longer keen because he hardly played last season, and when he did he looked nothing like the Rose of the season(s) before. They know he will cost a fortune and whilst it’s united with plenty of cash to burn, they aren’t complete fools.

I for one am fine with Rose staying if he’s 100% commited. I actually agree to an extent with what he said in the interview, however I completely disagree with how he went about it.

I took that as being engineered by the club that wanted to sign him
