His second half performance was one of the best of his career. He was everywhere, and his move to initiate our first goal unhinged Ajax in that Rose suddenly became another dangerous player they had to contend with

I know it's the Daily Star...and why would Everton want to swap a younger LB (even if they got a compensation)...?

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/778261/Tottenham-Everton-Digne-Rose-swap-deal

Thus said, I have a feeling it's time for Rose to as there seem to be "something" that not right with him at Spurs/in his life in general. He was on his way to Schalke last summer but not sure what stopped the transfer.
I am aware that he's played well after a injury free run and his display vs Ajax in the 2nd leg was top-class (y)(y)(y) Anyway, I won't mind if he stays as long as that is what Pochettion wants :smug: But should he be sold I'd like both Tierney and Ryan Sessegnon to signed and having Davies occupy the LB spot until they both "grow" into the team.

Did he indicate that he was off in the player walk-about at the end of the game?
I guess I wouldn't exactly be expecting tears from him. More like V signs to each stand in turn.
That's the way he is - he bites the hand that feeds him - and why he is so liked by the fans and players alike.

Having watched the match again this morning, what in hell was he thinking, kicking the ball out for a corner in the first few minutes when under no pressure....
The inevitable happened...

Every defender has at one point thought they were under no pressure only to be wrong and give away a cheap goal.

Against Southampton he left it and we were punished.

Depending on which stats you read around 2% of corners result in goals so far from inevitable.

He got it wrong but many defenders would do the same in that position.
