It will lead Chelsea to shout hurtful things like "cry babies" or "I'd cry if I was Spurs too". Maybe some will wave Kleenex and scream "do you need some of these boys?".

I think it was a massive mistake by Rose and this may be difference between winning and now losing on Saturday.

Yes, yes I could definitely see that happening...

I got goosebumps when United fans were booing him last week and you then heard our away fans drown them out with "Danny, Danny Rose!"

My favourite player, I've always liked him as a player, but I think he is one of the players that has flourished immensely under Poch

Best thing about Rose for me is that every season he seems to get better, he was superb last year and seems to have kicked on and that's all you can ask for.

Walker has been very good too but doesn't get the praise as he tends to make a few more mistakes, but still he gives his all and is powerful down that right flank.

We're lucky to have both of them at their peak.

When he first came on the scene I got lambasted for saying he reminded me of Ashley Cole. He then went through a spell of being the whipping boy. Really good to see him now being hailed as the best LB since......erm, Ashley Cole.:)

I was just thinking about this. Rose has become an incredible left back - easily among the tops in all of Europe right now. It's really hard to think of someone who has been better. Walker is among the best on the right, but he has a tendency to make mental errors in bad positions that leave us exposed. He's gotten much better in terms of his decision-making, but those mental lapses still creep up here and there. And while Rose will make the odd similar mistake, they happen less often and seem to be less costly in that they happen in less dangerous areas of the field.

Either way, we may well have the best combination of outside backs in all of Europe right now!

Yup. Best leftback ever for Spurs since i became a fan in 1981.
I agree and I too became a fan in 1981.

However we have had a lot of mediocre left backs in that time. Van den Hauwe, Edinburgh, Clive Wilson was decent but old, Tramezzani, Thatcher, Atouba, Edman, YP Lee, Benny (was good under Harry).

Only one who can compare to him was Ziege. But Rose is better

He's become exceptional and fully, though sadly, expect the likes of Barca or Real to come knocking. Not saying he would go, his relationship with Poch is apparently superb but he is at the absolute elite level now.

There's actually quite a few top level left backs in the game that the big boys are likely to go for and would probably get them cheaper than Rose.
