Good luck to him, I wish him nothing but the best in life.

I'm surprised he was here for 6 years, it doesn't feel like it to me, in some ways it feels longer, in other ways I'm shocked it's been that long 😂

Wishing him all the best, lost his way and errors were to often. Post Kane (which is obviously sad) it’s best we clean house. I still no fan of Levy but at least we are getting a bit younger as a squad which is the right path right now.

I think he always tried his best, often in systems/situations that didn't suit him.

I hope he smashes it in Turkey and has a manager/system that suits him.

Thanks Big Dav.

I actually felt quite relaxed with the prospect of Sanchez as our third choice centreback. His departure without a replacement is a little alarming.

€9.5m paid over 5 years. Levy's played a blinder there

Don’t know if I’m being a bit thick or if I’ve had one beer to many to detect a touch of sarcasm but didn’t we get offered £7.2m from the French club last week?

Let's hope Ange is on the training ground with the non internationals and the u21s for the week.

Will need to be coaching Phillips, Dier and dorrington

Right time for him to go. Not a success, wonder how many Sanchez shirts are out there? All the best Dav!

Tramezzani was £1million at a time when the world record transfer fee was £15million. So while he was relatively cheap, it was still a reasonable outlay. He was terrible. There’s no comparison between him and Sanchez.

Sanchez never really lived up to his fee. He did ok in a couple of spells when having to cover for injuries. That’s way more than Tramezzani ever did for us.

I’d judge Sanchez’s time here about 5 or 6 out of 10.
So if you are correct Tramezzani was 1/15 of world record fee. That would mean the world record fee would need to be £600m when we signed Sanchez to be same thing.

We can hardly complain about the price when one of the biggest criticisms of the club in recent years has been asking for too much for our deadwood…cake and eat it situation.

We should’ve signed some cover though. CB is looking seriously thin at the moment, can only assume Ange is pleased with what he’s seen of Phillips.

I think the main complaint is we got a very similar offer last week and rejected it. If we'd have sold him then we'd have had a much better chance at getting a much needed replacement.

Ideally would’ve sold him sooner but spot on about us not taking cut price fees for unwanted players so that is refreshing to see at least.

I hope he does well. I never understood the hate he got. Yes he had some awful moments but at least he put the effort in.

So you think Sanchez was better on the ball than Verts? Clearly not so the stat is meaningless
You've missed my later point.

No, I don't. However the comment that he couldn't pass isn't backed up by any stat.

He's looked better in the ball under ange, him making mistakes was as much about the lack of movement in midfield.

When we signed him from
Ajax I was so excited: just never worked out with us. Such a shame as normally I have a best moment in a Spurs shirt memory: just cannot erase that shuddering moment when he fell like he was on ice at the Etihad a few years back, tried to get back up then fell again.

Enough of that, never liked the abuse he received from a section of our fanbase, however, his departure is a part of the Ange rebuild, average age of the squad is younger and it will be nice to blood in Edwards: defo a time to move on.
