Yedlin starts for the MLS All Stars against Bayern.
Also, Taylor Twellman is a clueless shit and the rumor is most likely bullshit.

Snarfie,
I'm not saying there's validity to this rumour, but Twellman normally has the inside scoop on the USMNT.
I was surprised though, as I thought Yedlin was going to Roma.

You might be right about, I just don't like the guy. I do remember he was the first on the Dempsey to Sounders thing.

I like Yedlin, I think he's got a lot of potential. I'd be really curious as to how he would fit into our plans now (I'm not good at all with the MLS and their selling/loaning back dealings).
I dont like the guy that much either since he comes across as a huge douche, but he is very good when it comes to MLS and USMNT news. He nailed it on Dempsey and Bradley. And I do have a soft spot for him. Was forced to retire from football because of concussions and will donate his brain to science when he dies because of it.

I think Serie A's strict squad requirements lead to the deal falling apart. Wouldnt be surprised if Levy swooped in when that happened.

Ahh. Good to know.
Personally, I'm a fan of Yedlin. He's homegrown here in Seatown ((graduated from O'Dea High School)). Think he's got lots of potential. Tremendous athleticism to go with explosive pace, and he can deliver a neat cross to boot.
That said, I don't think he's ready to compete at the elite BPL level quite yet. He is still pretty raw, and looks lost at times in his marking assignments. His footballing IQ needs to improve as well, IMHO.
Those just my onions, though. ;)

Been very outspoken about the concussion issue, as well. Fighting the good fight...just annoyingly douchey as an analyst!

When it comes to MLS and the USMNT there is no reporter more clued-in than Twellman. His commentating in our friendly against Seattle Toronto was absolutely atrocious but I give this a lot of credence.

Not being ready for our level yet is okay, though. He wont be asked to start every game. He'll make sub appearances in the league when opponents are already fatigued and maybe the occasional spot start, and will start cup games. His attacking flair is a huge asset late in games. Its a different dimension. He doesnt only have deadly pace, his crosses are pretty deadly also.

He was commentator against Toronto. Keller was against Seattle and Chicago.

Oh yeah, that's right. I totally forgot, because I was at the C-Link live during the game.
Nice. That stadium seems fun as hell during MLS and NFL games. It sounded amazing on TV during the US game(and all the players commented on how amazing it was too).

I'm not sure if the universe could even allow it, but in Yedlin we've found possibly the only player (hell, human being) who fits the Kyle Walker stereotype better than Walker himself.

Hahahah. Walker and Yedlin together is just unfair. Would love if Poch had them on the field at the same time. Yedlin can lay in absolutely ridiculous crosses.

Yedlin was pretty good against Bayern in the first half. Might be the last time on an MLS pitch as an MLS owned player if I am reading into that smirk during the pre match interview correctly. Next time we see him, he might be a Tottenham owned player on loan to Seattle. Some beautiful crosses and made Bernat look like a fool(still dont know how the hell Yedlin retained the ball after going at him).

They interviewed Yedlin, prematch. Based on his answer about a possible move ("Can't say a lot, nothing's been finalised.) and the smile on his face, it leads me to believe it's close.
Did they mention us in the move or just a move in general?

One thing to keep in mind from the original tweet is that Yedlin was to stay through 2014. Deal may be agreed now, but go into affect in January to skirt MLS loan rules.

Twellman has mentioned us during the match on a few occasions.
Were we mentioned in the question posed to Yedlin in the pre-match interview to which he replied "Can't say a lot, nothing's been finalised"?

Noise-wise it is by far the craziest stadium I've ever had the pleasure to attend. It's a bitch for opposing teams to visit. You get 65 thousand + screaming fans all in Rave Green or Seahawk blue, or whatever it happens to be that day, and it goes berserk. The 12th man have re-set the Guinness World Record for the loudest stadium ever at the C-Link last December, recording a decibel rating of 137.6 (during a crowd roar in the 2nd quarter vs the Saints).
It was off the hinges I tell ya. (y)

The fact that this has already gotten 10 pages from just a solitary tweet shows the marketing potential this deal has for American fans.
