Not to mention securing Lloris and in all likelyhood Verts on long term contracts.Very excited as well. MM, MS, Yedlin, j-rod in jan...that would be incredible imo for poch's frist window. I keep saying it, but after next summer's window I expect us to have an awesome squad throughout.
There have been 10 USMNT games so far this year since Yedlin came into the team in January. Yedlin was in the squad for 9 of them, only missed out on Ukraine due to it being a primarily european team. Played in 7 and started one of them, including playing in 3/4 in the WC. There are 3-4 more dates for him also. He is also eligible for a Latvian passport if need be. He would definitely get a work permit.Would Yedlin actually get a work permit? Has he started for USA yet?

Yes and yes. Mentioned us on a few occasions during the game. In the post game show, they had a segment on transfers where he talked about it also. He made it sound like it is extremely close and would have been done if not for the loan back. Couple that with Yedlin's comments of "Nothing is finalized yet", lets just say I think we should keep an eye on the twitter account for the next few days.2 Questions:
1. Was Twellman doing commentary for the All-Star game?
2. If so, Did he mention Yedlin?
I only ask because of this:
MLS Transfers @MLSTransfers · 5h
.@TaylorTwellman: Yedlin: Tottenham are the front runners. Ohhhh something brewing with another #USMNT to MLS
It seems like a new comment...
What does he mean by this?. He made it sound like it is extremely close and would have been done if not for the loan back.
Idk. He talked about the loan back and was like, which is the reason its not 100% done yet. What does he mean by this?
Just seen this as well, nothing new really:Idk. He talked about the loan back and was like, which is the reason its not 100% done yet.
His post match comment is more telling. Especially the last bit, which seems like a freudian slip. "It's an honor." Deandre Yedlin will be a Tottenham Hotspur player very shortly.Just seen this as well, nothing new really:
Ian M. Walker @TheNewLibero · 3m
If anyone is interested, Yedlin was asked before the game about a transfer. Said nothing's finalized, so he couldn't say much (1/2)
Ian M. Walker @TheNewLibero · 3m
Taylor Twellman reiterated during the match that it looks like he could be going to Tottenham
I reckon this will happen...
Did he actually say that? The original tweet I posted referenced him saying that but in the actual Seattle Times article, that part isn't mentioned. His post match comment is more telling. Did they mention us in the move or just a move in general?
It was mentioned a couple of times throughout the match that he was likely on his way to Tottenham but would stay in Seattle for the remainder of the season.
Idk. I found it on twitter. Regardless, Twellman made it sound as if its very, very close.Did he actually say that? The original tweet I posted referenced him saying that but in the actual Seattle Times article, that part isn't mentioned.
In other news, Yedlin got a TOTS in FIFA yesterday and is going for millions of coins and is extremely sought after...
I don't think I've ever seen a player seem so well-known after 1 match. This transfer would be good for footballing reasons and marketing reasons...
Are you confident?
When does the MLS season end?
