Reminds me of Jenas, which isn't a bad thing. JJ did have good technical ability and good physicality, he just lacked the c***ishness and determination needed to make it as a CM, too much of a nice guy.

I'd say it was Jenas' brain that let him down more than anything. I'm not sure being more aggressive would have benefited much.

I know there's a faction of fans that say Onomah, Winks and whoever are better, but I don't think even those few can deny Alli has got a totally different skillset from them. None of our youth mids have the same amount of goals and assists playing in the U21s let alone in League 1.

I assume if "Chess London" made him an ambassador that he can't be complete shite. Was impressed with how well-spoken he was in his interview with us and his manager has said he's been the single easiest talent to ever coach, so I wouldn't be surprised if he packs some genuine punch in between his ears.

I love it, because not only am I huge fan of both football and chess, but the amount of similarities between the two is rather stunning. The current reigning World Champion in chess is actually a big football fan and has spoken a good bit about it (Guardiola as well). Is nothing but a good thing that young Alli plays, and especially if he's actually good at it.

I never really got the hype about Bostock,he never looked that good to me.
This kid looks like the REAL deal.......he has a bit of Hoddle about him.
He seems like a bright,intelligent lad and has bundles of talent.
Lets go and buy Teddy Bishop(another 18 year old) from Ipswich in the summer and we are sorted in midfield for the next 10 years.

Bostock was never really proven, he just got a lot of hype for appearing at such a young age and not looking totally out of depth. People assumed he would just keep getting better but he didn't. Alli is far more proven already. He's scored more goals this season than Bostock did in his entire career in England combined. A lot more, actually.
