Glad he has finally signed. The end of the most tedious thread in SC history.

A small group of pun-hating SC’ers are desperately trying to work out how to rate something as Off Topic on Twitter.

Beautiful stuff.

What made 'pun haters' was the persistent repetitive and in the end fucking tedious posting of the same ones. I reckon nobody had a problem with it until it just got out of hand. Nobody was complaining and it ran it's course. And then overran it. By some distance. It took over the thread and in the end just got too much. But lets not recognise that, lets just call them pun haters

I'm a lover of puns, Tim Vine being one of my favourite stand ups because of this, but the amount of repeated puns in this thread was even pissing me off, you'd think there was an update on the deal because the pages had jumped by 10 but no, it was the same puns over and over again and it was really getting on my tits and a lot of other people's too.

I do think as much as people will hate to admit it, their chairmen did a good job of securing a very good deal for them. I'm sure we'd have liked it all to total to no more than 12 pushing to 15 with add-ons but Gibson knew this was the player we wanted and made the most of it. I'm glad we didn't let pride get in the way and found a solution, it sounds like we managed to bring the deal down to a semblance of reality but we got our man and we got the HG player we needed to hopefully give us some flexibility on what is capable for the remainder of the window.

Maybe the whole delay was actually that the pr team demanded that he be the 6th signing, as they’d already prepared the announcement lol.

We’ve actually filled all the positions we needed to now as priority - I don’t remember that ever happening during a transfer window! :joyful:

Usually we go into the season blatantly being weak in a position where we really should have improved!

Now the club are trying to find the right 7th signing to top this one. Trying to find someone called lucky or heaven I reckon.
