After watching the Liverpool game, I'm more confused why Lamela got a yellow for the arm up.. Mane did exactly the same if not worse.than him and on was.allowed to play on... shows the inconsistency in the referees and how they treat each incident.

top mentality
brilliant goal
gives a shit
anyone giving him grief needs to step away from the keyboard
If this lad wasn't so unlucky with injuries he'd be a global star and either our captain or at Barca/ Real

interesting to see the couple of negative reactions to this post - they don't square with comments from so many of our players. From Jan to the most recent remarks from Moura: https://www.football.london/tottenh...esults/mourinho-son-celso-lucas-live-20193838

Next sunday will be sooo boring knowing Lamela (and Son) won't even be on the bench. At least Lo Celso will be back though, maybe he can compensate for their absence.

Any fans of other teams suggesting this goal is “lucky” or critical of Lamela for not using his right foot is, quite frankly, a fun-sponge **** who should not be watching football.

One think I haven’t seen mentioned with regard to Lamela’s sending off on here (probably missed), is the two little kick outs he had in the first half!
Neither were picked up by the ref during play but I bet at half time the VAR officials made the referee aware. That knowledge in addition to the chat he’d already received and a yellow, would all have conspired against him in the refs mind in my opinion!

Yep it was a culmination of fouls.

That also was a crap yellow he got on the first half against Zagreb (the referee totally bought the acting by the Dynamo player, both of whom were probably influenced by the events against Arsenal).

So of course Mourinho felt the need to get him out from the field before he would get another yellow. Once he was gone, so was the little tenacity we had on that match, which probably helped to open the way for Dynamo to overturn the draw,

This is why it sucks so much when referees are so easily influenced by play acting and what they see on the media about players.

Did any one see the Everton v City game yesterday? I only watched a few minutes of it, but saw Fernandinho throw out an arm and hit Richarlison on the chin with his elbow. Play went on for a few seconds until Michael Oliver stopped play as it was a 'head injury'. The trainer came on, and this is where i got really annoyed. There was no booking and the game was restarted with a dropped ball. The commentators said it was an accident, yet it was almost identical to Lamela's second yellow the other day. If anything, this was worse as it was an elbow, not a forearm, yet the same referee decided this wasn't a yellow. There's also the inconsistency with the commentating as Lamela was 'stupid' to do that, yet Fernandinho's was 'an accident'.

How badly do we need a clear out?

If Kane or Son ain't scoring where are the goals coming from..... Lamela??

Please allow me to refrase that:

"How badly do we need a clear out?

If Lamela isn't on the field, where will our intensity and good attitude come from?"

See? Your comment would make some sort of sense if our problem was lack of goals, but it very clearly isn't. Our problem is lack of attitude (or a bad attitude from some rotten apples).

Yes, I think it's evident that Michael Oliver has some bias against us, I don't understand why some Spurs fans refuse to acknowledge this.

I agree. We don’t score enough goals from midfield.

Then again we’re not exactly set up to score goals from midfield. During our pomp earlier in the season our whole strategy was to concede possession and break by transitioning from defence to attack in a matter of seconds. There’s no time for the midfielders (who have been sitting deep) to get anywhere near the box when Kane is launching it long from around the halfway line.

Mane does this in every game.
