Is there a chance Lamela is better than Bale was at 21? If you look at it in an age comparison, this coming season for Lamela would have been the season where we were in the CL for Bale. The year he really made the world take notice of him. I'd personally say looking at videos that Lamela has progressed further by 21 than Bale had.

Judging by that video, absolutely probably a better signing than Willian - just hope he doesn't get bullied in the prem, and is physically up to it.

He probably is better than Bale at 21, but that doesn't mean he'll be better than Bale when he's at 23/24. Just hope he keeps improving and growing.
