He should start over son for me. Son just needs to look after the ball a bit better. Lamela is a fantastic talent. If he ever goes to another league he will tear it up.
I was calling out for him to come on for Son from around the 60 minute mark. Son just looked a bit 'rabbit in the headlights', I could very easily see where he would pass to, and he didn't seem to have too much of a great time on the ball.
Good battling though.
Suspect Lamela has now worked himself back into the starting 11 after that as well.

As soon as City came onto us the game was crying out for Lamela. His tackling and work rate in their half and also his eye for a pass in the final third were exactly what we needed. Nice cameo and game changer from him and happy for Eriksen to get the goal with what was a really composed finish to beat a world class keeper.

I'm assuming @UpTownSpur has disappeared because he's absolutely furious that Lamela's assist was a cheeky no-look pass, which will absolutely infuriate him as it involves skill and entertainment. Oh well.

Mate, there's no such thing at Spurs this season. There's a first-team squad.
I'm amazed at just how well Poch has the team tuned. Those that come on from the bench aren't playing with any fear, or as if they've got a point to prove (unlike, say, Townsend). It's all about the squad.

Yeah it did but it wasn't in a pressure game and let's face it there a pub team.
He made simple pass look hard, everyone else would have taken on the city defense, pirouetted back out to 30 yards do a couple of keep me ups and bicycled kicked that into the top corner.
Have I missed anything?

He changed the impetus of the game when he can on, he wanted the ball & when he got it he drove forward. Plus I love his no look through balls, they're more often than not timed to perfection.
At the start of the season he put the hard work in, now the class is starting to shine through as well, well it has been for a while to be fair.
