I think he was okay, great finish, but i really think playing him on the left is a huge waist, he never looks comfortable and, as with Eriksen playing right, still looks to cut in but then can only pass sideways or back. I really dont know what Poch is trying to achieve by doing this. I agree that he was probably also a bit rusty as he hasn't played a lot recently, but i think starting him left is never going to do him or the team any favours.
Yeah I've also been trying to wrap my head around Poch's increasing disposition to playing creative attacking mids in "traditional winger" roles. If his thinking is that it makes us any less predictable, improves the crossing game, and provides more width, then it's not working in any of those categories. Yeah, we're getting results regardless, and maybe Poch sees something I'm not, but I just don't get it as of now.
