Maybe you don't like the truth.
These quotes and ITK are right here in this thread.
I'm not making it up, you can go back and read them if you wish.
Or you could just go on trying to make your posts funny to deflect from your frustration on being wrong.
Or you could write to DL and demand he be sold because your opinion is more valid than MPs.

Recall the ITK that Arsharvin was done or Aguero or Moutinho or the countless others that never happened??

The rule of thumb with ITK is that you enjoy but ultimately take it with a huge pinch of salt.

Or you could treat it as the undeniable truth to try and convince people that Lamela has been a good signing, which he so obviously hasn't been.

No, I was also referring to the 342 similar posts you've written

Not digging you out and nothing personal but I stand by my points
If people want to try ridicule me they will get a like for like response.
I mean no malice and I stand by that.
Plus It will be 1000 if Erik stays this season.

Is there a possibility of a loan move? If he went to Italy and carried on as he left off then it would indicate he isn't suited to the PL. It would also increase his value. If Njie and Pritchard meet half the expectations being banded around by SC members then Lamela must surely drop down the starters list for a wide attacking position.

I love how all the anti-Lamela knob-crabs keep saying 'let's just sell him and spend that 16mill on Mahrez or somebody better', like that's something that happens outside of Football Manager.

What's the hurry to sell him? We would just be weakening the squad even more than we already have.

We would not be weakening the squad at all,as he he brings nothing to the squad, other than a complete liability. The longer he stays and the longer he highlights just how average he is,the value of the player will drop.

The most sensibile thing to do is cut our losses and sell him ASAP

Would be a good solution and might actually aid us getting a better fee out of this bad situation.

Are squawka stats worth anything? It shows Lamela is the worst midfielder playing for Spurs this season with -53 points. Does this mean we would be better with ten men? I am no fan of Lamela and I would rather see him sold, but I don't understand how he can be that bad.

Sadly for Erik it would not weaken the squad in the slightest, Stephen Hawkins would be more of a loss, he has greats sense of humour and better ball retention ;)

The cult of bobby said the same thing about selling Soldado

He, just like lamela, was a depreciating asset not suited to our team/league and it was best for all parties to sell and upgrade as his presence and wage took up a space in the squad for someone we could potentially bring in who would be productive

It's not about football manager games, it's squad size restrictions and football economics.

If we are able to replace lamela ' s wage and spot in the squad with someone who can be more directly useful to us then it would be best for both the club and the player I believe

In truth even if we can't replace him now it would probably still be worthwhile accepting a decent bid for him because it would at least reduce the wage bill and free up space for a potential signing in Jan without us having to wait to sell him first before we can buy while allowing a youngster playing time they may have missed out on while we persist with playing lamela and hoping like bobby he will somehow come good

The problem is I can't see another club coming in with a good offer for him because we paid through the nose for a player that isn't worth anywhere close to the same value and we'd be lucky if a club could even offer us half our money back

I, like all Spurs fans, hope that if he stays he manages to adapt and improve and become a star player. But like all Spurs fans except the cult of lamela I can only see more of the same, his career stagnating for another year while his value drops further and we end up having to loan him back to Italy or Spain next season

With the current manager I don't expect lamela to improve much but I don't want to loan or sell him.

It's his third season now with no real improvement our shitty formation and tactics don't help either .

I think his situation is identical to Soldado

Both are clearly talented

Both are clearly not suited to our league or at least our team/tactics (as you say)

Unfortunately both will ultimately be remembered as huge flops for us

I want lamela to prove me wrong but I really don't think he will. A talented kid who seems like a nice enough guy in a world of arrogant bad attitude players - it can't be good for him on a personal level to have his career stall so badly either

I really think the best thing for all parties is to sell him back to Italy or maybe to a Spanish club. If only someone would offer 15m or so

@Shea thing with soldado he looked terrible in the 4231 but when he played with a striker he looked much better he even got some assists.

If we can sell him and get someone like Mahrez or Bolaise in I'd do that in a heartbeat, Lamela has had his chances he's another one we need to write off for so many reasons.
