He's not had a chance to give us more out of the loan. The one time he started games in a run he hit form where he was out best player and was involved in every goal we scored and we won a bunch of matches. Up until the NLD where the whole team was shit and he's been scapegoated cause he didn't carry the whole team.

Then add in that he played for Wales, had a couple of quieter games but still set up both of their goals. That's his quality. He didn't have blinders but still set up the winning goal in their last game.
He was the most effective player in the league during that little game time he had.

Forgetting who the manager will be next season. If we could extend Bale's loan to one more season would you do it?

Would like to see him next season, so yes providing mourinho isn’t the manager other wise it would be pointless to keep him

Play him every game to get our monies worth
And maybe, you know, if we want to score more goals.

Personally I'd be starting him in every game for the rest of the season apart from United, Leicester and the Cup Final. He could do a lot of damage against teams like Southampton, Villa, Leeds, Sheffield United and Wolves, as for me these teams are either of a similar standard to Burnley and Palace who he dominated, or even worse. But I doubt we'll see it.

Yes, his performances up to the Arsenal game showed me he still got it. And I think the crowd would help his motivation as well.

This can't be underestimated. The excitement around the club the day he arrived back. He showed he can beat a man still, imagine seeing that and the roar of fans. The adrenalin rush alone he'd get from his name sung.

Perhaps I'm romanticising a bit but I do feel it will benefit both Bale and the atmosphere in the stadium

No. The nostalgia tour has run its course.

Use the funds to bring in someone who will be part of Spurs future, not its past.

Only Mourinho could turn that excitement into something negative.

Have to laugh the boy gets 4 minutes on the pitch and he’s still got pelters being thrown his way our fans are toxic
Tbh this has been a really bad period for us as a club including our fans. A lot aggressive, toxic and even racist fans shouting incredibly loudly. Even on this forum I have seen more people spitting vitriol at each other then I ever have in the past. Obviously covid and thus the limbo we all currently exist in fuels this to some degree, but the state of club hasn’t helped. Hopefully changes are afoot and we can all move on to some degree. The sooner we can all move on the better it will be for our psyches.

I couldn't believe that both Son and Bale were on the bench considering that we were playing a team that Kane, Bale and Son would have ripped apart ala Palace and Burnley. I've been one of the few fans who would give Jo Mo another season but my mind has changed.

I can understand son being on the bench because he just came back but against the cannon fodder of the league, you just have to go for it and bale should have started.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but being able to have a full preseason would be massive for Bale. It was obvious that he was always behind in his conditioning and hasn't been able to get a run of games as a result. If we could sign him for a mother 12 months I just hope it is done early, although I can imagine Levy leaving it as late as possible to save on wages.
One of the weirdest shots I've ever seen taken at Levy.
